I just got a great deal on kohls..com for shape ups they are marked down to 50 then I had the 30%off coupon which made it 35 then I had 10 kohls bucks so I got them for 25 with free shipping yay!!! Any one have shape ups? I was wondering can you legit work out with them? Like run on the treadmill or do a zumba class with them? Im afraid I might roll my ankle or something! Please let me know if you have worked out with shape ups and is it do able? TIA:goodvibes

I've had mine for a couple months now and I would think you could run on the treadmill. I use mine for walking 1-2 miles per day. At first I felt like they really gave my legs a work out but now that I have been walking for a while they don't bother them at all. They take some getting used to because of balancing on the front part of your foot rather than on your heel but they are very easy to get adjusted to.

I love my shapeups and work out in them all the time. I would suggest giving yourself a week or two of breaking them in first just so you get use to the new shoe shape. After that I doubt you will even notice there is a difference.

Oh awesome thank you for thhe quick responses! I can't wait to use them!!!!

i dont do a ZUMBA class but i have it on the kinect. i love to zumba in my shape ups. i also use mine at work

I love my shape-ups. I don't run on the treadmill but I do walk on one wearing the shape-ups almost every day. As others have already said, once you get used to them you can probably do almost anything in them that you did in "normal" tennis shoes.

I have friends who also have them and they swear by them. One said that she lost two pants sizes when she started working a job that had her on her feet most of the time. Another friend also stated she lost inches because of her shape-ups but did not give any details.

I noticed someone said that with the Shape Ups that you balance on the front of your foot. I have plantar faciitis. My heels always hurt due to pressure/balance on the back of my foot. With the balance toward the front of the foot, does it take pressure off the heel?

Does anyone else have plantar faciitis and use Shape Ups? If so, how are they for you?

Thanks! :)

I don't have foot issues but the doctors I work with have all said these are some of the best shoes for people with plantar faciitis, or other foot pain. I will say after working for 8 hours I hardly feel my feet at all.

Anyone care to share which shape ups they are using. There are so many models of them (right now at Kohls.)
Aren't there other brands too?
Which are working for you all? TIA:flower3:

I have never tried the Shape-ups, but I do have 3 pair of Avia and I LOVE THEM!!! They help with back pain. They are great!!! I think they look better then Shape-ups. I got 2 pair for 29.99 each at Kohls with a 20% off code and free shipping and the first pair I got were 19.99 with a 30% off code a while back. These shoes retail for 99.99 - 119.99. Kohls still has a few of them for 34.99 and you can google a code. Here is the link. Check it out:)

Yes, I have plantar faciitis and my pain has been reduced immensely. Can I attribute this to the shoes? I would like to. I still get twinges of pain every now and again but for the most part the pain has gone away since I have been wearing the shoes. I wear them every day to work and around the house, except late nights and weekends. I have been wearing them for about two months so I can not give you a long term effect report.

I don't know what "kind" these are. I have looked on the shoe but all it says is Skechers Shape-ups. SN11800. I don't know if that is a model # or not but it is on the tongue of the shoe. Mine are the all white ones with silver writing. I have already decided I will get another pair once it is time to replace these.

I have it (and achilles tendonitis). As soon as I put the shape-ups on the pain went away. I LOVE these shoes. They have sandals and I'm thinking to trying them on. I wish they weren't so expensive.

I wore the shape-ups 2 weeks ago at Disney and my heels didn't bother me at all.

6pm.com has a bunch of ShapeUps for $35-$40! They also have $4.95 flat-rate shipping right now. I have a pair that are over a year old so I wanted some new ones. It was hard to justify another $100 on shoes, but at this price, I couldn't resist.

I don't have shape ups but I do have the Reebok easy tones and absolutely love them. They are hardly budget however. But honestly, they are the only ones I ever tried on and felt something while walking around the store. But anyway, I wanted to let those who wish to use a toning shoe for running that Reebok does make one. They have several styles of toning, some specifically designed for running, others for strength training, walking. I will say if someone is inclined to order over the Internet, I would recommend a half size bigger. I found them a little tight and I usually run very true to size in Reebok products. Hope this helps those who like to run.

They are ok for walking on the treadmill, but not supposed to run on the treadmill with them. Watch the DVD that comes with them, that will help you with your questions.
