Shanghai Disneyland will open on June 16, 2016

According to the Wall Street Journal, Shanghai Disneyland will open on June 16, 2016. The park may open in phases with attractions opening throughout the remainder of 2016 and into 2017.

I'm not sure a phased opening is a good idea. Remember the Hong Kong backlash? The number of attractions is already kind of limited.

Yep. Shanghai already has had multiple budget cuts and budget over runs. This park is looking at not opening with its announced full slate of attractions which could be a turn off to people. It really will be a stunning park but will it be enough?

I may be going to Shanghai around the opening date for a conference. I'll be sure to visit this new park and post a trip report if I end up doing the trip!
