Shanghai Disneyland may be built in Pudong's Chuansha

SHANGHAI (MarketWatch) -- Plans to build a Disneyland theme park in Shanghai are awaiting approval from Chinese authorities, the state-run Shanghai Securities News reported Friday, citing unnamed sources.

The park will likely be located in Chuansha, a suburb in Shanghai's Pudong district.

The Pudong local government is in talks with Walt Disney Co.'s headquarters in the U.S. regarding the project, the report said, citing an unnamed local government official.
