Shampoo recommendations UPDATE in post #24

Okay, I just went and got some potion 9 to try. Ya'll talked me into it. It says it's a "wearable treatment". SO, my question is this: Is it a leave in conditioner or a styling cream? In other words, how do I use it? I normally shampoo, condition and use mousse. I know mousse is a thing of the past. Do I need any styling product after I apply the potion 9 or is that my styling product?

I also like Curl Life, but can't always afford too buy a lot of salon products. So, this was my little splurge for now.

Oh, and I have medium/long naturally curly, fine hair.

Potion 9 has a bit of a styling cream property, to it. But it's also a leave in.

I'd try it without your Mousse - if you don't like the way your hair styles, then do your mousse too, but I think you'll be good with just that.

You will love it!

Perfect! Thanks! Exactly what I wanted to know. :)

I have a new love! The new Pantene shampoo/conditioner for curly hair is amazing! In less than a week my husband asked, "What are you doing different to your hair? It is beautiful and so soft!" I would definitely call that success! lol

I will have to try this shampoo. I have been using Curls rock which I love but it's 10.49 a bottle

Walgreens has had it on sale, with $2 in Register Rewards. Add in a coupon and it usually isn't too bad.

Reporting back: I have been using the Chaz Dean/Wen cleansing conditioner for a few weeks now and LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! It does take a bit more work initially to get used to it, but since it takes the place of both a shampoo and conditioner I don't think it takes more time overall. I got the variety pack to try out from QVC, and have tried the Cucumber Aloe and the Sweet Almond Mint and I like both. Still have to try the Fig, Lavender, and Tea Tree. I have gotten tons of compliments on my hair. :cool1:

Why do you *need* one for Dandruff? I don't think you do. My g/f had terrible dandruff, but her scalp needed more moisture. I'd use a better, moisturizing shampoo/cond.

My daughter (age 9) and I both have very dry scalps. My daughter's is extremely dry. I have tried a Paul Mitchell Tea Tree, some Aveda shampoo, head and shoulders and some other shampoo. I didn't notice much of a difference with any of them. Any suggestions for a good moisturizing shampoo and/or something that helps dry flakey scalps?

Pureology-higher priced but a little goes a long way. I buy at Ulta w/coupons. They also have for dandruff. My hair is curly and colored, tends to be dry on the ends.

I like the Pantene Curly Gel for styling - I mix it with some V05 and it works great - even in the humidity!
