Shampoo for Permed Hair

What's the best, inexpensive (under $6) kind of shampoo to use for permed hair? I'm looking for something I don't have to go to a salon to get.

Off the top of my head I can't remember how much it is but I use Pantene ProV Hydrating Curls, both the shampoo and conditioner. I buy it in the supermarket.

Dont do it - spend a little more.... even salons like BoRics and Hair Cuttery sell "real" shampoo's and generally on special, too.

You can get a liter of shampoo and conditioner - for chemically treated hair - for under $20. Liters last forever!!!

I highly, highly reccomend spending some money for shampoo on chemically treated hair.

Honestly - it doesnt matter WHICH salon brand you use, as long as youre using:

A Salon Brand

Preferably one for chemically treated hair.

Pick one out that you like the smell... anything, really.

Matrix is fabulous, TiGi / BedHead is wonderful, Sebastian is marvelous - theyre all very good.

TiGi & Matrix often have the "specials" - so go with one of them. You can even go with one for "colored" hair, simply because it's not going to be as harsh, as not to wash the color out (and in your case - the perm)

Hope this helps... I'm SOOOO anti drug store shampoo. I cant even begin to tell you! ESPECIALLY when someone has spent good money to get something done to their hair, only to wash it all out with cheap shampoo.

Suave is great....as a body wash.
