Well i hv been left some money by my nan and as a treat for my mom as well as the cruise i hv got a quote for our first five nights . We are currently booked in a one bed at OKW which is great but my mom loves the Bc and the poly. Hv just looked at the price to upgrade and the poly is 260 more:banana:I know it means just hvg a room rather than a one bed but for such a small amount extra i am very tempted. WL is only £100 more. What would you do. Its not the location point of view its the whole resort thing. X we also hv a one bed booked at aklv after the cruise

If it works in your budget then I'd totally do it! :thumbsup2
Never stayed at the Poly, but its up there on where I want to stay at some point, and from people that I know that have stayed there they say its a great resort with a great atmosphere! WL is also a great resort. If you decide to stay at the Poly I'll be so jealous of you!

I didnt realise it would be possible but i hv been left a fair amount and although not a one bed it means my db and i can hv a bed not a sofabed:lmao: method in my madness. Food for thought.

Do it! You never regret spending money on a little treat or luxury.:goodvibes

I would rather have the extra space. We recently went thorugh either the yacht club or 1 bed SSR and picked SSR for the extra space (particularly the living room) and there is only 2 of us!

I would stick with the villa definitely. No way would I pay more money for less space (and privacy).

How long is it for?
If its just the one night then I would consider the Poly, any longer and a villa would win for me for the extra space, facilities and privacy.

If it's in the budget I could not say no to the Poly! I say go for it and upgrade! :goodvibes

Obviously it's downsizing but I'm sure I've heard that the Poly rooms are some of the biggest. :)

I'd definitely go for the upgrade. Those first few days you'll be able to get to MK and EPCOT so easily and the outside areas are lovely there so you won't need as much indoor space.

Then you'll have the 1 bed in AKL after the smaller room stay so it's not like you'll have to downsize mid trip. I'd totally do it!!

The rooms at the Poly are quite big and it is a lovely resort.

Oooh big decisions.DB wants to stay at OKW as he likes the jaccuzzi in the room:lmao::rotfl2:Trust him. I have till friday to make my mind up. Thankyou all for your advice. Just looked at the disney site to see comparrison but it is dearer BUT scrolling through the resorts the beach club is showing at £1107 for the 5 nights. :confused3 That seems good as well. I will let you know our descision as soon as we have weighed up pros and cons.Always liked the poly but love OKW as well. If just the3 of us I would def change.

I would change to the Poly as its so beautiful there :cool1:

Hi alyson, as you know we also took my sister with us on hols and I can say front from personal experience i would stick with the one bed. We got back yesterday and for the last week stayed at vwl and akv in a studio with the 3 of us, by the end of the week we all got on each others nerves, and the 3 of us get on very well, the first 2 weeks were great when we stayed in an apartment.
If it were the 3 of you I wouldn't hesitate.

After speaking to CO we are staying at okw. They said it was£25 admin fee plus becus Ddp no longer on we wld hv to pay for it:confused3 i did argue tht and say it was an existing booking and should not make a difference to ddp. I didnt think they would charge admin fee if upgrading / payin more. Ah well db got his way. More spending money i suppose!!!

At least you can stop agonising over the decision now :goodvibes

I first thought it strange that CO want to charge you amendment for an upgrade, but I wonder if their terms and conditions for amendments are different to the Disney ones (I don't think I have ever read the CO terms).

As you say, more spending money. Maybe you can plan a special excursion instead. :)

I contacted Co a few days ago to ask how much it would be to add on an extra day, (we have a flight/hotel booking for Jan) they wanted £75 per person admin fee + the cost of the hotel = £297 for 1 extra night :scared1:
The flight has also decreased in value by just over £150!! I thought they might change the flight and we would get the lower price but they said NO..

Welcome home sam. I dont understand either. Although poly and wl cheaper now than when we booked originally okw for a one bed has gone from 887 to 1234!!!!!! Very strange. Tickets are 916 compared to 843 plus no free ddp.
Lee cannot believe how your ticker is coming down. We are going to hv a meal at artist point and book remy on the cruise if we can get in just for the 2 of us.:wizard:

I think the OKW may be to do with the 40% off and free dining promo when you booked. I assume that is finished and looking at the prices you list above, that would be about right. The current free dining offer/discounts are for next year as there was a cut off to book for them for stays in 2011.

I know, I haven't been watching my ticker this year and it is :scared1:
