Has anyone done this at Disney and do you know how much? My mom wants one of my 3 kids and thinks I can get it done at Magic Kingdom----any ideas??? :earsboy: princess: princess:

Yes, they are portrait silouhettes. The artist literally cuts the image out of black paper and the accuracy is amazing. The last time we did it, it was $7 per person for 2 copies which are mirror images of each other. They mat the image onto white cardstock. You can also purchase a frame for it, not sure on the pricing of that.

There is a silouhette artist right near the entrance to the Hall of Presidents.

I want to say that the frame is around $8-$10. I had one done of my son and was absolutely amazed. Especially when I realized he was doing it freehand. (At first I thought he was tracing the shadow) We just had one done this year at DL. Don't know if they are doing it at WDW (haven't been there yet this year), but at DL, I got my sons sillouette (spelling?) in black and a sillouette of Mickey next to him in gold. It was twice the cost as there were 2 figures but well worth it.

The Mickey sounds pretty cool! Can you do one with more than 1 person in the same cutout? Not sure yet how we want to do it. Thanks for the location and prices. ::MickeyMo

I can't remember for sure, but I thought that I had seen a picture with 3 people in their display.

We have done this twice, both times with my 3 kids posing in the same picture. The resemblance is remarkable! The silouhettes were done 6 yrs apart, so it is fun to see how they changed. We bought the frames each time (you get 2 pictures each time) and gave one to grandparents. The frames look great with the pictures- kind of an old-fashioned look. We had it done the first time in a store on the right-hand side of Main St as you enter the park (about 11 yrs ago-not sure if they are still in that location). The second time we had it done at a cart outside the Hall of Presidents, about 5 yrs ago. My kids are in high school and college now, so I love to look at the silouhettes and remember how much fun we had in WDW when they were small! Also, the 2 pictures they give you are facing opposite directions, so I have one from each time mounted on a wall facing each other-- kind of like they are looking at themselves in a time-warp mirror! :teleport:

Hope this helps!

They do it in downtown disney 2. They do like 3 people for so much I know one person was like 12 but I dont think 2 and 3 were much more maybe 20 something
