My sisters is in the Air Force would Shades of Green be worth checking out? Anybody been there and have any feed back?
Thanks

We've stayed there several times and yes, it is definitely worth checking out. Your room rate will depend on your sister's rank, but all rates are extremely reasonable for a deluxe quality hotel room located so close to the Magic Kingdom. You are also within walking distance to the Polynesian and the monorail.

We have never had an issue with room cleanliness or service, rooms are among the largest on property, and the food prices are more in line with "real world" prices then anything else you're likely to see in WDW.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip!

also check the ticket prices on the SOG website vrs the prices at your sister's base. SOG's stars and stripes ticket is usally cheaper if you want unlimited hopping, water parks, and Disney Quest.

My dh and I stayed at SOG last October and are leaving today to go back! We LOVED it! It is so close to Magic Kingdom, the rooms are big and clean. It is an absolutely great deal, especially for the price! Have you checked out their website? Let me know if you have any questions in particular. Or flight heads out of here at 7:10, only a few more hours!!!

We stayed in May 05 and it was a great stay. Rooms are large, Clean and staff is very nice. We did not miss the Disney theming to much as we spent almost every waking hour at the parks.

If you want to stay there don't wait till your sister gets there, make a reservation NOW!!! It fills up pretty quickly especially at the holidays.

We absolutely love SOG! True, there is no Disney theming, but we didn't miss it at all. We were there in June 04 and 05 and stayed in the new section, overlooking the golf course....beautiful view. The rooms are huge and clean and my DD loved the pools. We only ate breakfast at SOG at the little carryout place by the bus stop, but that was good too. At these rates, we could afford to stay a little longer! It does fill up fast though....we're going back in November and it was totally booked when we called in August for reservations.
