Shades of Green question

Does anyone have any info on the updating at Shades of Green? Like how soon till done? What will the rooms look like? Are the putting in any suites? Thanks for any info.

Here's the official Shades of Green website:

http://www.armymwr.com/shades/index.html , if you click on the link entitled "Digging in for the future" on the righthand side, you can see realtime images of the new Shades of Green being built. That being said, SOG is still saying they're opening March 1, 2004. Based on the images I see, do I think it will be open in 7 weeks - No. I have reservations for mid-April and I'm doubtful about those reservations as well.

I'm wondering when SOG is going to offer us folk with reservations for March/April alternative accomodations. I would think that would be sooner rather than later.

We have ressies for 3/12-3/20 (with 4 day cruise in between). I made back up reservations at POR and CBR just in case SoG doesn't offer us good alternative accomodations (only spent about $15 more per night with discount codes). From the looks of it right now, I don't WANT to stay at SoG in 8 weeks.

Are they going to issue hard hats with Mickey ears to everyone as they walk into the lobby???

I'm excited to see the 'new' SoG, but I really don't want to stay there until it's done.

We go March 4th and my friend hasn't heard from SOG as far as we know it is still opening March 1st. I'm just wondering if they open will it be completly done. It's doesn look like when you go to there web site. I guess I'll keep my fingers cross for good news.

I'm not a construction worker, but it doesn't look like it will be ready any time soon. Actually, it doesn't look all that different than it did a few months ago!

We have ressies for the begin of April. I guess we'll have to wait & see.
