Shades of Green...old section or new section..

We are going end of Jan-first of Feb. I've heard some things about staying in the old part versus the newer part. We are thinking of staying near the pool. Is this the new part or older? Which area is the best (if there is such a thing) to stay in? We will have a 4 year old with us.

Pools are in the old part of the resort. The main lobby and bus stops are in the new part. However, there are rooms in the new part that are further away from the lobby/bus stop than the older rooms. LONG hallways!

We loved the new section when we were there, but we were right off the elevator.
