:sunny: Know they have a breakfast buffet I have heard mixed reviews on. Just checking on the price. I know for adults it is $7 (latest I heard). Is it less for a child of 9, or the same price as adults? And does anyone know when the buffet opens in the morning?

I believe children under 10 or 11 were 1/2 price. They only charged me half price for my 12 year old as well, even when we told them his age. We thought the food was good, one of the best deals to be found on property. We ate at the Prime Rib Buffet one night as well, and found the food to be good. We LOVED Shades of Green, and will definitely go back.

Which restaurant is the buffet in? I have checked allears and SOG official site and can't seem to find the hours of operation or price.

Anyone?

This is good to know. We will be there in less than 2 weeks. How were the resturants in general? Was there long waits to be seated? This will be our 1st time at SoG. Can't wait to go and see for myself how beautiful everyone says it is.

We didn't eat at the buffet or dinner at SoG, but we did enjoy Express Cafe for a take-out breakfast. It is outside from the lobby and down the steps past the fountain. It took us two days to figure out where it was. Anyway, the food was good and pretty inexpensive, we thought. We used to eat it in the room or in the car on the way to the parks.

We have eaten the breakfast buffet. It is very good for the price. I would suggest going early. At that time, they have two buffet lines open. We will be staying at the value resorts during our next trip, but we plan on going to the dinner and breakfast buffet at SOG. Good food for the price.

We were there in November and never had to wait to be seated, at either dinner or breakfast. There was sometimes a wait to make your own waffles, but they had 4 irons going at once, so it wasn't too bad. Oh, sometimes you had a short wait to have an omlet made, but again, not too bad.

We only ate there once during our last two trips - mostly because we didn't know about how great it was. My DS (13) ate well..my DD(16) only had a bagel - they didn't even charge us for her and charged me the childrens price for my son... food was nice - make your own waffles...We also ate the dinner buffet one time and that was excellent.

Please call ahead! They checked our resort ID last time we ate there. It might be for guests only. Not sure.

The question about the buffet was asked 12 years ago. I think it’s time to close this one. :)
