Shades Confirmations Received

FYI my father has received both the notice from Shades of Green of the transfer to the Contemporary, and the yellow confirmation sheet from Disney, for our early December trip. The Disney sheet doesn't mention our deposit, but we just plan to take our original Shades of Green confirmation sheet when we go down.

My Dad also called Disney regarding our connecting room request and they had the record of the request.
 
Dancing Bear- We have now gotten 4 confirmation(yellow) letters, all without deposit on it. This is for our November trip. I am not too worried about that, it is on my AMEX bill, and I have ALL of my confirmation letters;)
 
The confirmation letters do NOT show any deposit on the reservation. Any time any one enters your reservation in the system (i.e. you call to add a guest, you call to change your address, an agent types in the wrong number and goes into it by mistakes and exits out immediately, etc etc) it will automatically generate a new confirmation letter to be sent and will state *modified* even if nothing has changed.

It's part of the fun quirks of Disney's automated system. :(
 
FirstNo- I have only called once to make sure my request was reflected on the Disney side of things. It wasn't, and a VERY nice CM at SoG helped me out. Was it you?;) I have gotten 3 modified letters since that call. Should the request be on that letter? Because if it is suppose to be, it is not printed on there. Thanks for all of your help.:)

We still have not been told what Disney can/not see as far as requests are concerned. My suggestion to any one is: if you have a request call/fax the hotel you are staying at no more than 3 days prior to your arrival date. IMO, that is the only sure way the hotel will have your request on file (making the reservation through SoG). To my knowledge, very little shows up on the confirmation letter. Not even the lake view (old SoG pool view) guarantee. I'm not thrilled with Disney's form letter. I have never heard of receiving a confirmation letter that does not show the deposit you paid on it, but that's Disney!

Some clarification, we are not CMs. We are not Disney employees and receive no benefits from the Mouse, other than a "one park, one visit" type of ticket that is given to many hospitality workers (the ticket is good from Apr to mid Jun, with certain weeks blacked out and is good for one visit to each park, parking not included). We are Department of Defense personnel falling under the Army and Non-Appropriated Funds.

And no <g>, it probably wasn't me who helped you out, but I'm glad that some one tried to. :)
 
I know you guys aren't CM's, but you sure are all VERY helpful and pleasant when I call.
