Would anyone know if any of the pools at Saratoga springs have any shade at all in them? I am going in August which I usually don't so never paid attention. Even with sunblock I still burn. Any info would be appreciated . TIA
I don't know the answer, but feel your pain. This is one of my pet peeves at the pools. It's so difficult to find a shady place at the pools. Umbrellas are gone quickly. I like that BLT at least have some umbrellas mingled between chairs, this is something that I would welcome at the other resorts. The only time we can snag an umbrella at resort pools is if we are very lucky, or we skip the park and get to the pool by 9:00am.
Earlier this month we found shade from trees at the Grandstand area pool. There were a handful of lounge chairs in the shade.
There were also a couple of tables with umbrellas and chairs - but I felt like these were for folks eating.
for anyone who burns easily like myself, i swear by Blue Lizard sun block. I've been using it for 4 years... and have NOT burned. The stuff is amazing!
If you check google maps and look at a satellite map of SSR you will see that every pool at SSR has several umbrellas. They are usually connected to a table with chairs. But keep in mine they are very popular with guests so availability may be a problem.

I think the OP was hoping for trees & some other forms of shade...
For instance: POR, Wilderness Lodge, AKL, These are a few that come to mind, but over at SSR it appears there will be some shade from the trees, depending on time of day.
