Shaded areas at Typhoon Lagoon???

We plan on going to Typhoon Lagoon a few times on our next visit Aug/Sept. Since this is an extremely hot time of the year, I want to make sure we will be able to sit in the shade and not be in the blazing sun all day. Are there places that have umbrellas? I know I saw on another thread of people renting an umbrella for almost $60. I really don't want to pay that much to sit under an umbrella for half a day. If we get there early, are there places that we can get that are shaded?

We're not getting to TL at rope drop, so I decided to rent the 2 chairs/umbrella/towels/table for DH and I. The total cost, including tax, is $42.60, and they will charge your credit card at the time you make your reservation.

Due to health issues, we want to be sure to have shade and a place to rest, so the $42 is more than worth it to us.

Since you posted that you want to make sure that you'll be able to sit in the shade, it might be a good idea for you, unless like the PP said and you plan to be there for RD. Either way, have fun!

Ok, thanks everyone. I was just wondering if there was very little shaded areas. We will get there early enough to get a shaded area.

There is a ton of shade. If you want to be on the beach in the shade, that is what you might struggle to find. But there are all kinds of areas in the shade with picnic tables. Also, lots of the lazy river is shaded...hang out in there!

Seriously, if I ever win the lotto, I am going to have a house with a lazy river instead of a moat. I love those things!!

There are two types of chairs. Lounge chairs that are lying but not adjustable, and beach chairs that are low to the ground and sitting. These are the freebies. I think you can tell the lounge chairs have towels on them. I know it's not the greatest photo.

From what I've read, the price differs during peak time periods. I'm going at the end of August, it might be the reason the price was $42.60.
