SF Bay Area - We've got weather!

Emergency Broadcast System just broke in with a Lighting Storm - Tornado Watch. The storm is 7 miles west of Pacifica, over the ocean, moving towards SF.

Sadly, we do need to be warned of Thunderstorms. They don't happen enough for us to recognize or respect them.

Yup, we lived in SF for 10 years and I only remember a couple of tornado watches in that time, and just a handful of T-storms. But, at least they can see those coming, unlike the quakes!

My sister & niece and I were out yesterday (when it wasn't THIS bad) taking our 8 year-old niece and nephews to Dunsmuir House - a Victorian dressed up for the holidays. No fun riding in an open-sided trolley to get around! (but it sure beat walking in the rain, which I had heard wasn't coming in until Saturday night!)

We picked up our DS and his fiancee at the SF Airport late last night - glad they got back from Orlando before the really bad weather hit (my son was green throughout the flight anyway - any rockier and he would have been toast!)

Plus - ya notice how no one around here knows how to drive in the bad weather!?
