Sexuality (accepting or not)

That's the point I was trying to get across. We are all created equal no matter what. When the radicals in society get involved, crap like this happens.
Yeah, I understand what you're saying.

I don't see it as much as acknowledging the radicals, but as being realistic. Honestly, I can't say that everyone is equal until they actually are. There is still A LOT of discrimination and prejudice in this country, unfortunately. JMHO.

I think it would be nice and fair if gay marriage was legal, but I don't think I would get married to my partner if it ever happened.
What annoys me is when people use the "God created man and woman" excuse and marriage should only be given to a man and a woman. Not everyone believes in that. It would be wrong to have a church to marry a gay or lesbian couple if it goes against their beliefs, but if there is a church that would offer marriage to a gay or lesbian couple I think that people that disagree with it should stay out of it. It's none of their business and I highly doubt that they're really going to affected by it.

Well, don't you know? You're wrong for not believing in God anyway, according to some.

Yes, I was actually told that by someone in RL. We were talking about gay marriage and she didn't support it. Religion was brought up and I said "Well, what about the ones who don't follow the bible?". She goes "Well they're sinning anyway for not following the bible". I was like,

My Grandma is like that. She believes any natural disaster is "Gods way in cleaning out the population." O_O

Not everyone follows the bible, and the idea of marriage did exist before too. But I guess I was never brought up religious I was made to form my own opinions (religiously) :confused3 but I did have a friend who was brought up with Christian influence...and him telling me how he was disgusted at the fact that he was gay and he tried to convince himself he wasn't etc. then again like I said in a previous post it reminds me of what was said in Prop 8: The Musical, people pick and choose from the bible to suit them.
What if gays could marry, would it be hurting anyone? is it going to cause problems? because I can't see it causing that much trouble except to the people who are deadset against it...its those people's lives and if they want to get married it really is THEIR business not what some people who don't agree with it think.
I have found the homosexuals pick and choose stuff out of bible too. In fact, I think they do it more.

I have better things to be hung up on than your sexuality. It really doesn't affect me = I really don't care.
xD

This reminded me of something Lewis Black once said:

"On the list of things we have to worry about in this country, gay marriage is on page eight after 'are we eating too much garlic as a people?'".

:lmao: Gotta love Lewis Black!!

I think that's unfair because I think everyone is that way. If your a woman, chances are you've had a girl crush. If you're a man, you'll have a man crush. I personally think Cheryl Cole is gorgeous. If I saw CC, I'd say "ooh she's hot!", but if I saw Brad Pitt next to her, I'd say "ooh, he's hot!" too. The only one I'd act on is Brad Pitt.
Bisexuality kind of annoys me, TBH. Not the people who are bisexual, just bisexuality itself. It's a "pick one - you can't have your cake and eat it too" thing for me. If I were in a relationship with a bisexual man who left me for another man, I would be devastated.

If I were in a relationship, period, and a man left me for another woman (or man) I'd be devastated. :confused3

Thank you for taking my post out of context, but my SO leaving me for another man would be more devastating to me than him leaving me for another woman.

I wouldn't know as most of the homosexual people I know aren't christian and the bible hasn't had much of an impact on their lives (except the one whose mother abused him because he was gay). I've never had a gay person tell me I'd burn either, gotta love walking on the street and being told that simply because I like this or that (I was wearing a band t-shirt with a skull on it...the skull was inspired by the artwork style of Vanitas...nothing more).

But again I've never grown up with Christian homosexuals (wiccans, buddists etc. I have met, really friendly people).

That kind of annoys me when anyone does that, I mean religion should be a personal thing and I don't think anyone really has the right to put themselves above someone on the simple fact they are part of a religion...I know alot of my posts come across as very "anti"-christian because it has had such a big influence on the world and it seems to be the only religion that constantly refers to anything I, or any of my friends do as wrong...I've met alot of nice christian people, a few who are lesbian and agree that gay marriage should be legal.
