I caught Chris Noth on NBC news last night. He talked about the possible alternate ending of Sex and the City. He said that the cast didn't know which ending was going to be used.

He said that the other Big moment had him telling her she was the one at the bridge and then she turned to him and told him it was too late and then she walked away alone into the Paris night. I take it that either ending she would have come back to NYC.
