~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

Yay for another park bag! I have fabric to make another one for me - an AK themed bag, but I haven't started on it yet.

Lottie is so cute. Chef Mickey's is one of out favorites. There is something for everyone and my son in law is a very picky eater. Your plans look good. EPCOT is my favorite park. I always tell people I want to move there and live in apartment above Canada so I can watch the people go by all day and watch Illuminations at night. Not that there is really an apartment there.
You've been really busy in your sewing room. The park bag and not park bag sound nice.
I had lunch with a good friend of mine yesterday. Her son is a football coach in Fort Pierce. It turns out she'll be visiting him when we're at Disney so we're meeting somewhere for lunch on the day she's flying home. I had bought the pink Vera Disney bag last year on the day it came out it was too pink for me so I sold it to her. She loves pink and we're both happy now.
We're going to the zoo today. They have a new baby giraffe.
I hope everyone has a good day today.

Well at least you figured out that you can make another bag out of all the extra pieces. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Looks like another great day of plans.

Your Epcot plans look good. I think you'll be fine with that fp schedule. I've heard that the standby line for Test Track first thing in the morning always looks longer than it really is. Either way, you have 55 minutes before your Soarin' window opens, so you'll be good even if the line is a little long. If a miracle happens and you get through Test Track quickly, you could check on MS and see if it has a short standby line. Then you could ride it before your Soarin' window expires and have plenty of time for the WS.

If someone in your group has a smartphone or other device with the MDE app, you could always check to see if you can switch the fp times of a ride while you are in the park. When we were in WDW this past Dec, Jan and March, we were able to move around our fp times for the rides that were not the headliners. For example, we walked over to Buzz Lightyear, saw that the standby line was 35 minutes. I went into my MDE account and found a fp that began in 5 minutes. I changed my fp to it and walked into the fp line five minutes after changing the fp time. It was really cool. I'm not sure how crowded it is in August, though. It was also cool to switch our fp times while riding the bus to the park. It doesn't work for the headliner rides but you'd be surprised how many rides it does work for. That being said, when we were there in March during heavy spring break crowds, we mostly kept our original fp times. It was easier that way.

Sunshine Seasons sounds like a great place for counter service because it has something for everyone - and it is not too expensive. There is a half a chicken with black beans and rice that is a real value.

These are some excellent tips Sue - thank you! I think that's a great idea - I think we will ride TT, then check the wait times for MS - maybe we can get both done before our FP window ends... On the off chance we don't make it, do they honor FPs any longer than the window says... Like 5 min or more? :confused3 Then I could change that MS FP for something else. :thumbsup2

We will all have smart phones, so I think it will work to our advantage... We also all have extra chargers - which reminds me - I need to see if I can find the retractable charging cords for our phones... Suzi has one and I love it!

Oooh - that half chicken sounds perfect for me! I will make a note of that!

First...I don't 'think' there is anything back where the old FOTLK used to be...but I am not sure.

And second, if I were to be able to go to Disney in August this year it would not work with your dates...I would have to disguise it as an anniversary trip! And since the kids start back to school on the 13th, it would have to be over by then... although...if I had gotten APs last December I could have taken a day trip.... (hind sight and all that!)

Nini

Ok - I was just wondering... That makes the park a little smaller - logistically.

I know - I know... Someday Nini!

I can't wait to see your outfits and bags for the parks.

It sounds like you have more than enough to do before your trip.

I will take some pictures from my trip so you can see where I've been when I come back

THanks - I am very excited to share them!

Yes, please do share your pictures from your trip - I would love to see them!

Yay for another park bag! I have fabric to make another one for me - an AK themed bag, but I haven't started on it yet.

Awesome! I cannot wait to see it!

Thanks! Yes, we love Lottie - she is fun! And I love that she will just sleep on you... we hold her for hours in the evening and just cuddle - it's so nice that we don't have to worry about her getting away, she just sleeps on us. It's so cute.

Hahaha... That would be great real estate for an apartement... I will see if there is anything for sale while I am there. ;)

Thanks! LOL I am very excited about them.

Ooh - sounds like fun to meet up with friends while in WDW.

I hope you had fun at the zoo yesterday, the baby giraffe sounds adorable!

Well at least you figured out that you can make another bag out of all the extra pieces. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

Looks like another great day of plans.

Yah - LOL - I didn't feel so bad then.

**********************************************************

I am happy to report that I finished my last park bag yesterday! I love it... The girls hate it. Which surprises me - because I thought they'd love it too. :confused3 I honestly thought they would be begging me to use it - it's so different from anything I've made before. But whatever, more for me. I honestly think it's a bag I would carry outside the parks... Some of you know that I am a bit weird and I never carry my own bags at home... Well - I think I would carry this one. I am anxious to show you all!

The 'Ohana bag still remains untouched. It will get done, I promise! Hopefully soon.

We all cleaned the house a little bit, then Grandma and Grandpa came for dinner... Josh's meatloaf was amazing! Then he made roasted veggies on the grill... Mmmm... I have TONS of leftovers for this week and I am in heaven!

G&G stayed a bit later than we thought they would, so we all went to bed shortly after they left.

Oh - and Josh was able to fix his Jeep yesterday! :woohoo: He ordered the $20 part on Amazon last week... we weren't sure that's what was wrong with it, but low and behold it was... So... We are back up to being a 3 vehicle family. What a relief!

Today...

Well, I am going to start my next custom order... I hope to get it cut out and quilted before I have to leave to take Alli to work.

Then, I plan to come home and start final assembly on Auction bag #10... I know I won't finish it today, but I should be able to knock out a good chunk. I will work on it until about 3pm.

Then, at 3pm, I will go back to working on the "Not-A-Bag", as someone dubbed it yesterday. LOL I should be able to knock out a good chunk of that one too - considering it's almost finished as it is.

So, ths is what I have left for projects before we leave... 2 more custom orders, the remainder of Auction Bag #10, the remainder of Not-A-Bag, BFF & O's bags, V now want's a custom outfit... I still need to find a skirt that will work for that... And she also would like a bag. Sigh. I might be able to do it all... We'll see.

So, today I will be posting FP plans for our final full Disney day. Tomorrow I will be posting about our departure day. Then, hopefully Wednesday, I can start posting all of my outfits! :woohoo: Because I know you all are dying to see them, as much as I am dying to share them! :beach:

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Prayers and good thoughts to all! :grouphug:

This is it... So sad... Our final full park day...

Of course - it's MK...

And we have several Must-Dos today, along with a few new things to try. It promises to be a LONG day for all of us!

We start off with a long standing Must-Do... A pre-park-opening ADR at Crystal Palace. This is one we always do on our last MK day... We are usually done with this ADR right as the park opens, so it's always perfect timing.

We will start off in Adventureland with POTC and JC... Working our way around to SM and possibly BTMRR... Depending on time, we may try for HM?

Our first FP window is 11am-12pm with A&E! :woohoo: Still cannot believe I snagged this one... I wouldn't have event tried - but we all know how much V insists on getting ALL of the character autographs on her pillowcase...

Then, our next FP is SDMT from 12:20-1:20. I did 2 FPs for this one over the duration of our trip, because I have heard that the lines for it are long and it's not worth the wait. So, I just erred on the side of caution and FPed it.

Our final FP is for SM at 2:25-3:25... I plan to spend a good portion of the afternoon in Tomorrowland - trying to stay indoors to beat the heat as much as possible... Hoping we can add on to our FPs at this point with *not as popular* FPs for BLSRS and others... Of course, we have our must dos of CoP, MI -LF, TTA - and our Stuffed Cream Cheese pretzels - which we should be hungry for right about now.

We have our 6:45pm ADR at BoG... Really looking forward to this one! I know that BFF and O will enjoy it too. When we check in, I am going to ask if there is anyway we can be seated in the room with the rose in it (what's it called?) - it was only by accident that we were seated there last time, and we loved it. :wizard:

After that - it's my plan to spend some more time in Fantasyland, both before and after our above ADR... The rides are much less crowded there in the evening, and I am looking forward to showing BFF around. I am also hoping to FP Dumbo and Ariels' Grotto to save us some time.

If at all possible - I'd like to try to head back to Frontierland and ride SM one or 2 more times.

MK closes "early" tonight at 9pm... And we plan to be there open to close with out any breaks. I figure with 2 sit down meals, and not much backtracking - we should be OK. I hope.

We will take our time exiting the park - browsing the shops and maybe finding a bench just to sit and enjoy our final minutes in MK. I know there will be tears going down my face this time, as it will be my very last time viewing the castle with my girls together - until they are much, much older with children of their own. It will be a very bitter-sweet trip for me. Cry.

I hope to be back to our rooms by 11pm... I plan to have us mostly packed tonight, with exception to the items we will need in the morning.

D~

Your last park day sounds amazing! It will be long but by taking it slow and enjoying air conditioning I know you will be fine!:cool1:

I hear you on the bitter sweet trip. I have a lot of changes going on in my life right now that will probably result in this being the "last" August trip as my family knows it. I will be blubbering at the end as well. I know that we will be back again just not as the "Fab 5".:hug:

This sounds like a perfect last day. It's so sad that each time there is a last day. I always want to keep the magic flowing!! I would cry too if I thought it was our final trip- I kind of cry anyway when it is over haha.

i finally read everything and am caught up!:faint:

I love all your plans for the days you posted. It sounds like you really thought everything through and made sensible FP+ choices. It is hard to think so far in advance what you may be doing, but I think it will make for a much smoother experience. I made my FP+ choices based only on the attractions I wanted with no regard to location. I'll probable be doing a lot of back-tracking or changing of FP while there!

Lottie is just adorable! She should go to Disney with you as your mascot! HaHa, wouldn't that be fun…NOT! Imagin the surprise for the security people at bag check at the parks! :scared1:

I was thinking about Chiara the other day and almost PMed you to ask about her. I'm so glad you're getting a chance to meet her finally. And I'm glad everything is well with her.
I had to laugh when Nini suggested the Donald ears were a little much and to send them to her….:rotfl: She always cracks me up!::yes::

I'm glad you're getting lots done in your sewing room. Adding an outfit and another bag seems a bit much at this late date, but if you think you can do it, more power to you! I know I always moved heaven and earth to get something for my kids when it was something special like this. Can't wait to see the photos of all your bags you're working on as well as your outfits. This is going to be, well, EPIC!!

I hope Josh's back is improving each day. You mentioned he had to use his Tenns unit the other day. I hope that's not an every day need!

Have you heard from your Dad? I assume he made it safely to his destination. I hope he's having a wonderful time. It's so nice that he gets a chance to get away for a while.

Have a great day!

Mo -- It's Tough To Be a Bug

ahhhhhhhhhh Thank you!!!!

Someone mentioned Donald at Tusker House; no he is no longer there at the front for pictures. He walks around the room with the rest of the characters. I'm hoping you have a better experience that we did in June; our service was awful and we won't be going back for some time. The food was still pretty good.

this is not good news...

D all your plans sound amazing! Hate writing about last days. makes you sad so so sad. and the trip isn't even started!!! Im not doing a last day on my PTR.. :rotfl2:

Love everything and cannot wait to see all your creations. and now i am HUNGRY for Meatloaf!!!! Josh's veggies are OUT OF THIS WORLD

Dee, love your MK plans. :)

Fast pass window - you should be able to get in the fp line five minutes early. And I've heard that you can be up to 15 minutes late and they will still let you in.

BOG - the room with the rose is the West Wing. We have only eaten lunch there with the special lunch fp and the library is our favorite spot to eat.

We went on a last trip with our family of five. We Knew that the next time we went it would either be without our college age son or with significant others. It was a little sad.

Hi D,

We love the early ADR at Crystal Palace. One thing that saves a bit of time is to ask your server for your check as soon as he brings your drinks. That way you don't have to deal with it at the end of your meal. I was hesitant to do this, because I didn't want to appear to be rude. The server brought it right out so we didn't have to wait for it when we were finished. It worked out perfectly and the server couldn't have been nicer!

Your last day at MK sounds great.

You will be at Disney while I'm on my road trip. And when I come back I'm crossing my fingers that you have started a trip report or that a trip report is just around the corner since I won't be back until the second week in September.

I love all your plans! I want to come with you! DH mentioned yesterday that we should just go ahead and get our APs now, which might allow me to swing down for a DisMeet while you are there....I have to think this through as I'm not sure about giving up free dining in November. On the other hand, I'd be able to use my AP for my girls trip in October. Sounds like I'll be number crunching this afternoon.

I refuse to believe that this will be your last Disney trip for some time. I am holding out hope that you will be able to get back before you think you will. :cloud9:

I can not wait to see the outfits and bags that you have been hard at work on. I need to go home and admire the bag that's in my possession! It is going to be so hard to give it to my mom!

Work and eye appointment for me today. And then, I think I'm going to take a stab at my very first homemad mac and cheese for dinner.

:thumbsup2 Love your plans so far. Everything looks good. I'm still worried about being able to make FP+ reservations with only a 30-day window for our trip. :confused3 I figure if I can snag at least one FP+ for 7DMT for all of us I'll be happy. Anything above and beyond that is a bonus. We plan to do MNSSHP the night before our last day there, so I figure that might be our best chance to do that ride without FP+ and hopefully with lower crowds. Let's hope!

Great plans D~. Although it ended on a sad note. Maybe next year, you can take the long road trip and visit the National Parks on your way to CA and squeeze in a DLR vacation. Although, I would love to see more of the country. WDW is just less scary for me, if that makes sense. I get on a plane and don't have to worry if the car might break down. I don't have to worry about if a certain motel/hotel on the way is "safe". I will see more of the country some day.

Have a great day today.

Two bags for the price of one!! Kind of.

I picked up a remnant for the one bag I really want to make, but there's like a ton of it (almost a full yard and I need 2 9"x6" pieces for the bag) I'm tempted to make another something or other.

I seriously need to do some t-shirt recons. I have them laying around and I want to make them useful for the trip...just have to find some time/energy.

Have a great day and we all await in breathless anticipation for the outfit and bag reveals.

All your plans sound wonderful. I am sure you will all have a wonderful time.

You are making great headway on getting all your things done. I'm sure you'll get it all completed before you go!

When I was reading about your last day, I got tears in my eyes because I felt the same way when my kids were almost grown up. But as you know, my whole family (including a new DIL to boot) all went to WDW and then on a cruise last November and we had the BEST time! It was different from when they were children, but I couldn't have asked for a better time. I hope you are able to make it back much sooner than you are expecting and I hope it will be just as wonderful.

I can't wait until Wednesday to see your outfits!

Someone has probably already answered you, but I didn't read through all the comments, so the West Wing is the room in BoG with the rose, that's where we ate too, loved it!

And OMG *Tear* you're choking me up with you last minutes in MK!! This will be a special trip, for sure, but it won't be the last!!

Plans look awesome! Yay for A&E FP's! :hyper:

Can't wait for OUTFITS!!

Thanks Tasha... I am a bit nervous about it - especially after our 100 deg. day yesterday, and how LITTLE I wanted to be outside... Any smart person going to Disney in August should have braved the weather here yesterday and sat outside as much as possible... Not me. :confused3

It's going to be so sad... It will never ever be the same with out my girls both there to enjoy it with me.

This sounds like a perfect last day. It's so sad that each time there is a last day. I always want to keep the magic flowing!! I would cry too if I thought it was our final trip- I kind of cry anyway when it is over haha.

I know... At least, last year, when we left - I had this trip booked, so it was easier... This time... No trip booked and no idea when we will go back. Sad.

i finally read everything and am caught up!

I need to get over to your PTR Lois - I know I am behind over there again.

I hope you are able to figure it out - with out much back tracking.

Lottie is just adorable! She should go to Disney with you as your mascot! HaHa, wouldn't that be fun…NOT! Imagin the surprise for the security people at bag check at the parks!

Hahaha... Yah - that wouldn't be good. :scared:

I had to laugh when Nini suggested the Donald ears were a little much and to send them to her…. She always cracks me up!

Yes, she is doing well... If I didn't see her on FB all the time, I'd be worried too.

LOL Yah - I love Nini.

Tell me about it... I don't think anything will top last year, where I drafted a new pattern and made the prototype to carry in the parks - 2 days before we left. I am very excited for what I am making for this year's trip though... And - thanfully, I scheduled my nail appt. and hair appt for the last 2 days before we leave, hopefully that will keep me from designing and making a new bag for this trip. ::yes::

I hope Josh's back is improving each day. You mentioned he had to use his Tenns unit the other day. I hope that's not an every day need!

He seems to be doing OK... Not much complaining lately - so that's good.

Have you heard from your Dad? I assume he made it safely to his destination. I hope he's having a wonderful time. It's so nice that he gets a chance to get away for a while.

Yes, I talked to him yesterday morning - he was in Butte, MT... They had stopped for a couple days in Yellowstone and to see Ol' Faithful. I was happy to hear that they were enjoying the trip back. They were hoping to make it into Vancouver last night, but I did not hear from him.

Have a great day!

Thank you! You too! I hope you and Dan had a nice anniversary! And Dan had a nice birthday.

ahhhhhhhhhh Thank you!!!!

this is not good news...

D all your plans sound amazing! Hate writing about last days. makes you sad so so sad. and the trip isn't even started!!! Im not doing a last day on my PTR..

I know... I hate even thinking about the last day... I hate even thinking about the trip almost being here - which means it's almost over. This is going to be a sad one.

LOL He does make some awesome food... There is something to be said about marrying an older bachelor (he was 27 when we were married) - he had to learn to cook for himself or starve. Now I get to enjoy the benefits of that. :thumbsup2

Dee, love your MK plans.

Fast pass window - you should be able to get in the fp line five minutes early. And I've heard that you can be up to 15 minutes late and they will still let you in.

I knew you would know the answers to my questions Sue. :thumbsup2 Thanks so much for the information!

I bet it was a little sad... I am right there with you this time. It just can't be the same with out everyone there.

Hi D,

We love the early ADR at Crystal Palace. One thing that saves a bit of time is to ask your server for your check as soon as he brings your drinks. THank you for this tip! It's an excellent one! I think I am going to do this at every TS meal that we can... We like to enjoy our meals with out being rushed, but when we are done - we are done... So this is an excellent idea! I will definitely use it!

Your last day at MK sounds great.

You will be at Disney while I'm on my road trip. And when I come back I'm crossing my fingers that you have started a trip report or that a trip report is just around the corner since I won't be back until the second week in September.

I should have my TR started almost right after we get back... You know me... I like to write about our trips... Although - I will probably drag this next one out a bit longer, considering that I don't have a new PTR to post about.

I love all your plans! I want to come with you! DH mentioned yesterday that we should just go ahead and get our APs now, which might allow me to swing down for a DisMeet while you are there....I have to think this through as I'm not sure about giving up free dining in November. I repliedto your PM on FB yesterday... I sure hope you are able to meet up with us - that would be awesome to meet you! Please let me know. Also, keep in mind - I am happy to meet outside the gates if necessary - as long as it works OK with our plans. :thumbsup2

I refuse to believe that this will be your last Disney trip for some time. I am holding out hope that you will be able to get back before you think you will.

I hope so... but I promised Josh that this would be our last one. We are planning to go to TN for Christmas... Then D.C. next summer... And possibly the Black Hills/Mt. Rushmore too... Financially - we won't be able to afford to go back to Disney for quite some time... However, I will still need to have my auctions to cover these trips - so I'll still be incredibly busy.

I can not wait to see the outfits and bags that you have been hard at work on. I need to go home and admire the bag that's in my possession! It is going to be so hard to give it to my mom!

Thanks! LOL - Yes, that will be hard, but I know you can do it!

Work and eye appointment for me today. And then, I think I'm going to take a stab at my very first homemad mac and cheese for dinner.

Oooh, I hope it all went well!

Love your plans so far. Everything looks good. I'm still worried about being able to make FP+ reservations with only a 30-day window for our trip. That is one thing I was happy about - having that 60 day window, it was very helpful. But SoG is awesome and you will have a great trip! Good luck getting all of your FP... I have heard that they hold some back for the 30 day mark and beyond? I hope that's true.

You know what Shannon - that is exactly what I think and exactly what makes me nervous about going anywhere else. Josh wants to go to DC and SD next year... and all I can think about is where are we going to stay? Is it going to be safe? How will we get around? All of that is really scary to me... And WDW is the opposite... From the moment you land in Orlando - everything is taken care of for you and you are in this little bubble... I love it! And it's the main reason we keep going back... It's easy, and it's a lot of fun!

Hahaha... Yup - kind of.

Cool - you should! Make something to match it. :thumbsup2

The tees sound like fun! I hope you find the time to do them!

THank you - I hope so... It's a little nerve wracking - but I feel like I am making progress. Once I get my custom orders finished, then I will feel better. After that - it's all fun stuff.

Awww... That warms my heart and makes me feel so much better... I sure hope that's the way it turns out. It just seems like it's so far away.

Thanks! I am excited to share them with all of you!

Can't wait for OUTFITS!!

Sue did answer me above, but thanks for answering me too... I've added that note to my planner page, so I don't forget while we are down there.

I know - it's so sad. It's hard to believe that this will be our last trip there with both of them... It will be a new era after this, and I am not looking forward to it.

Thanks - I am super excited to share them. Glad I work today, or I'd probably start sharing them today, but I NEED to wait - it's just been so hard. LOL

**********************************************************

Yesterday morning, after finishing posting here, I did my heavy lifting. I am still not back up to my highest lifting weight after injuring my back last month... I am trying very hard to take it slow, if I re-injure myself now, I will not be happy.

I also ordered a couple of trip things on Amazon yesterday. BFF ordered the portable cell phone chargers a few months back, so I went online and ordered a few retractable cords to go with them. Suzi had that same set up last year, and it was so nice to be able to have that cord confined and not all over my bag. Then, I also purchased 2 more pairs of shorts... I wasn't going to, but I just don't know if my Hollister shorts will work for me and all that walking... They like to ride up. Sigh. I figured I better be safe and get a couple of pairs that are a bit longer. We'll see when the time comes which ones I will bring.

Then, it was up to my sewing room... I was waiting to hear back from my custom order person about a question I had... So, while I was waiting - rather than doing nothing (which was what I really wanted to do...) - I worked on Auction bag #10. I made good progress on it. I should be able to finish it tomorrow afternoon or Thursday.

I had to take Alli to work after that... I grabbed a few things at Target when I was there, and then also went to the grocery store to get a few more things.

Back home to work some more... I was able to cut out my custom order this week and get it ready to be quilted. But it was so hot in my sewing room - it's been really hot here this week, and my sewing room is the only room in our house that does not have any duct work - so no heat in the winter and no air in the summer... Most days it's OK, except on the hottest/coldest days. It was pretty bad in there yesterday, so I quit early. Which means, I did not start quilting it at all. I was going to go back up after dinner, but I didn't make it.

Josh picked up Alli from work, brought her home, and then told us that we were going to the mall after dinner - Alli needed new work shoes. :confused3 I guess, she is supposed to have black shoes for working in Starbucks? News to me... Going to the mall on a week night is kind of a pain... We don't have any malls near us - all 3 of them are 45 min/1 hour in any direction... So, off we went.

Alli got new shoes and a pair of pants for work. V found a black skirt and purple tank top to use for her custom she wants for our trip. I found a pair of jeans in a smaller size than last year - but I am not sure if I should have gone down one more size or not? I'll leave the tags on until fall, to make sure. And Josh got a new pair of work shoes. So, everyone got something.

Josh stopped at DQ on the way home... I wasn't going to order, but it was so hot and sounded good. So, I ordered a small plain vanilla cone - with a spoon... I ate all of the icecream and donated the cone to V. :thumbsup2

Today, I work at Target. :scared:

Stay tuned for our departure day plans.

I hope you all have a wonderful day... Prayers and good thoughts to all! :grouphug:

So sad... This is it.

I hope to be mostly packed the night before this.

We will be up reasonably early this morning so we can finish the last of our packing.

We need to be out of our room and checked out by 9:30. Then we will have to store all of our carry-ons and luggage with luggage services for the day. I hate doing this, personally, I would rather check out and leave right away for the airport, but oh well - it's how our flights worked out.

We need to be on the bus to MK no later than 9:45... Then either monorail  or boat :thumbsup2 to the Poly.

We have our final meal ADR at 'Ohana at 10:45am.

We should be done at the Poly by noon.

We have decided to do DTD this day - and I am a bit nervous about it, after just discovering a few days ago about the construction making travel difficult and annoying.

We were going to take a bus directly from the Poly to DTD... but after giving it more thought - I am wondering if it will be better to take the boat back to MK - take the bus to FQ - then take the boat to DTD? What do you think? By the time we do all that - it might be better just to take the bus from the Poly to DTD?

Regardless... ME should be picking us up at 4-4:30... With the guaranteed afternoon rain storm, I don't know how we are going to travel from DTD back to FQ? I'd really like to take the boat - but that is not a guaranteed mode of transport, considering they close them when there is rain. So, if we are lucky - we will take the boat. If not, we need to leave early enough by bus to get back to FQ on time, and reclaim our luggage.

It's going to be a mess no matter what - and I am going to be SUPER STRESSED the entire day, until we are through security in a timely manner.

I guess, we could always take a cab - but even so - that doesn't alleviate the problem of traffic issues at DTD.

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated and considered. :thumbsup2

So, then the next issue... This is the first time we are using a "participating airline"... So what does that mean? Do we not have to worry about our checked baggage at all one we check out of the resort? Do they take it from us there and we don't see it again until we are at our home airport - like ME, but the opposite direction? Or is there something else I need to know about this? I don't like doing new things - especially new things under stress... So, the more I know ahead of time, the better off I am.

I would rather get back to FQ a little early... Maybe browse a the shop or hang out on the grounds for a little while, then to risk missing ME. So, what do you think is a good "safe" time to leave DTD? By boat? By bus?

Our flight leaves at 6:30pm... and we arrive home at 8:30pm our time. Josh is picking the girls and I up... Bff's BIL is picking her and O up from the airport.

It's guaranteed to be a crazy day for sure.

I am almost tempted to try to do DTD a different night of our trip, and just go into MK for a few hours (or tour the monorail resorts?) on our last day, vs. dealing with the mess at DTD. What would you do? The sad part, is we don't have any time we could really do DTD, unless we do it after our Chef Mickey's ADR - but I would feel safer doing that... We could take a bus directly from the Contemp to DTD then the boat back to our resort - with out worrying about missing our ME ride... However - that's a Saturday and Saturday evenings at DTD are :scared:... We learned that last year. Sigh.

I just don't know what to do?

D~
