Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Max is getting big fast.

too funny that V said you had to buy your own fabric

Hi! I had to pop over. I just posted the pics I took (one of the inside of the bag too) on the Disboutiquers board!

Just a little 411.. I grew up with 2 older brothers and always hung out with boys. I'm not a "girly girl" nor do I much care for the "cattiness" of women so my girlfriends are in limited numbers. As in- my mom, and 2 females I stay in touch with on a regular basis and even one of those being a cousin. I CRIED when I opened this!! I am not the typical female thinker/emotion but I was so touched. I bet the people in car rider line thought I was crazy! :)

I am still just so humbled at all the amazing goodies that you sent me! I love each and every thing. I thought "man, this package is a little big for a wallet". ;)

Thank you so incredibly much for everything: your time, your thoughtfulness, your willingness to see beyond the obvious. A special thank you to Marianne too, I love my Belle. You did a fantastic job on the applique. D~ I think you hit it just right with the Ms. Potts and Chip. Pictures really don't show the amazing quality!

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life from the Dis and I feel even more blessed that I've found women who have such amazing hearts and really want the best for each other. It is absolutely a treasure in life to find people who are so supportive and giving.

I feel exactly the same way Beth....I feel all my DIS friends are my "Family in the box"! so excited we get to meet you this summer!!

Oh crap you made me cry.

This was a fun bag to make too... I love that this person chose to do something very unique...

I will be the first to admit that this bag kind of scared me. I've never seen the movie (although it's one of the girls' favs - so I asked their opinions constantly), in the end, I am very pleased with how this bag turned out.

Inside... I stumbled upon this fabric and I just knew it had to be part of this bag... It was a lot more expensive than I normally spend - but it was just so cool!

IMG_5145.jpg

And the zipper pull... I was so sure that I wouldn't be able to pull this one off, so we even had a back-up plan, just in case... I am so happy that it turned out!

Thanks for looking... Now, on to my next bag...

:worship::worship::worship::worship: WOW another awesome bag D~ your creative mind is WOW, can't think of another word, just WOW!

I couldn't stop by to post another bag, and not respond to this...

Awww... Beth - I didn't mean to make you cry... I am so glad you loved it!

I knew the size of the package would totally give up the surprise... Did you at least open the goodies before the card - like I requested??? :surfweb:

And, your post made me cry... Thank you for everything you have done for me and others here... I really apprecaited it so much... And you have no idea how many times I nearly let the cat out of the bag - LOL I am just glad you got it and you like it. :)

I agree - I have made some of the most awesome friends here on The Dis... Each and every one of you are important to me... Whether you post here every single day - or if you only have the chance to post once in a while... :grouphug: Thanks for being my "friends in a box"... And I am really looking forward to meeting some of you this summer! :thumbsup2

And Chiara - your post made me spit out my water (notice, I said water...)

D~,

Your bags are amazing! :worship: I loved the Beauty and Beast set - what a wonderful gift for someone special! While Cinderella is my all time favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast is a close second. I love Belle because she is a brown eyed brunette with brains and the story was great too!

Your Sally bag was incredible - words do not do it justice. You are a very talented designer!

I also loved the photos of MM. He is adorable.:lovestruc They really grow so fast, don't they!

Your daughter's blanket was very nice. My dd, who is 8, is wanting to learn to sew, so I have been starting with teaching her basic hand stitches and she is 'creating' outfits for her AG pets. Before I know it, she'll want to start on my machine, so maybe I'll have her do some pillowcases (after I take my machine to the spa). They would be a good first project, right?

I feel exactly the same way Beth....I feel all my DIS friends are my "Family in the box"! so excited we get to meet you this summer!!

I'm excited to meet y'all as well! It'll be here before we know it!

Oh crap you made me cry.

This is great! I've never seen the movie either. Stitching out A's Jack Skellington clippie was giving me the heebeejeebee's too.

I couldn't stop by to post another bag, and not respond to this...

It was a good cry! I did open the Pixie Dust first before the card. I'm really glad you kept it a surprise! I looked on the package... I think the issue with the delivery is that it was addressed to 2137 and I'm 2132. :) Kudos to the PO man!

I also wanted to give a major shout out to all you ladies. I went to the Everything Applique Conference this past weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed going and meeting some super sweet, talented people. The girls I sat beside the majority of the time owned a 16!!!! needle machine. I have to admit tho, as far as the Applique/Embroidery part went, I learned absolutely nothing new in our breakout groups. Everything that they covered I had already learned from ya'll. I think that says a tremendous amount about what an amazing group of women we have here! :worship:

WOW that bag with A nightmare before Christmas is great :worship: I would love to have a bag like that :lovestruc

Beth..

I had originally planned on attending that in B'ham.... but with the drama with the Grand Princess I changed my mind. I'm glad to know you didn't learn anything new...maybe next year!

Nini

PS...Threadjacking here...PLEASE keep my Grand Princess in your prayers. Today's procedure did NOT go well. We are going to have to make some hard decisions in the next few days...(and I don't think I have ever come this close to murder in my heart in my LIFE!)

LOVE that Nightmare bag!!! Love Sally, love Sally's lips, love her dress, LOVE Zero!!!!

Max is getting so big! He still so cute!

And I had to add a photo of the blanket that Victoria made (and purchased the fabric with her own babysitting money) for one of the neighbor girls for her birthday... Isn't it adorable... I told her I wanted one - she proceeded to tell me that I had to buy my own fabric, because that was expensive. LOL

Love that fabric! V did such a great job! How did she cut the ties all so even? I'm sure the bday girl will LOVE it!

PLEASE keep my Grand Princess in your prayers. Today's procedure did NOT go well. We are going to have to make some hard decisions in the next few days...(and I don't think I have ever come this close to murder in my heart in my LIFE!)
:hug:I'm so sorry to hear this. Lots of prayers for your grand princess.:wizard:

D, that was very sweet of you to PD the "Belle" set. It was an amazing set for an amazing person!

Also, totally loved the NBC Sally bag! It's one of my favorite movies, and you did an amazing job!

And I had 4 or 5 pages to read, so I already forgot half of what I read. :headache: So sorry for not commenting on other things!

For everyone else... I go for a walk everynight (when I can) and my DS has started to go with me now. He does a good job of keeping up, but tonight he said to me "Mum, I know you have to walk fast to get rid of the fat, but I am skinny. Can we slow down?"

Yep, my little sweetie.

That. Is. Hilarious! :lmao::rotfl2:

Love the Nightmare Befoe Christmas bag. That looks great!!! It actaully become one of my kids favorite movies all because when we go to Disneyland during our Christmas trips the Haunted Mansion is changed over to the Nightmare Before Christmas. I think they prefer that version over the normal version!! :lmao:

Love that V made a personal gift for her friend's birthday. Those are some of the gifts I treasured most!!

Ahhhh love the pics of Max. Makes me miss out golden retriever that we had growing up. One day we'll get another puppy just waiting for the time to be right.

The NBC bag is great too!! My niece is a huge NBC fan. She would approve of that bag too!!

You should watch the movie sometime. It's not a scary movie. The music is very catchy too.

Fabulous Belle bag and great that Marianne could help you out. I suppose you couldn't really ask Beth for help on her own bag :rotfl: Once you photobucket is bag up I'd love it if you would post a collage of all the bags you've done so far.

And Beth is a sweetie -- she is making a bow to coordinate with a BG dress I just made (BTW Beth, I posted a pic of the finished dress on the BG site, though I think you got the jest of the colors from the unassembled pic I posted).
Ok, I had to quote myself because I should have said once your photobucket is BACK up -- not bag up! I've had a rough day today -- I made two appliques for Amy and sewed one to the other (caught it on the tack down so was able to rescue it!) and then I did an applique right after that for my dd and yes, the fabric AGAIN ended up under the hoop and while the applique looks great it ruined the skirt panel! I'm going to blame it on hormones and the heat.

I wanted to give you all a quick MM update, since he is growing so fast...

We had him into the vet on April 13th for his shots... He weighed 20.4 lbs! He's a growin' boy!

Then, I took him into the vet last friday - just to socialize him... He weighed 27.2 lbs!! That is a whopping 7 lbs in just 2 weeks! I cannot believe how fast he is growing.

He is also a very smart boy. I have not enrolled him in classes, because he seems to be doing quite well on his own (however, he still has issues with listening to the girls).

Maxy knows... Sit, stay, shake, lay down, treat (he knows this one best - LOL), "go potty outside"... We use "treat" a lot to get him to come (thanks Nini for that tip)... He is such a quick learner!

Anyways, on to the part you've been waiting for... pictures...

This is Max in front of the table that I have a picture of him sitting on that bottom shelf - just 6 weeks ago...

In the bin I purchased for shoes, since he has that addiction - they are now stored in the living room, behind the gate.

MM was looking so big that I really thought he'd weigh more! So you know how you do pics of the girls in the same spots at Dis from visit to visit? Well, I'd really like to see you cram Max into that table for a comparison shot :rotfl2:

V's blanket is great! So I just need to let her know when my birthday is?

WOW!!! I have never seen NBC either but I am most impressed with your Sallly!!!!! And love the interior fabric! I hope this bag is going to the Dismeet -- I want to see this one in person! And I have no clue who or what is on the zipper pull (looks ghostish -- again, haven't seen NBC) but the pull is superb! Very well done :worship:

Beth..
