You are killing me with all your surprises and Vs custom???? I guess we will have lots to wait for
LOL... Well - you must believe that it's hard on my too... I am so dying to share, but I can't yet.
Casey and I were at Joann's yesterday and she was telling me "mom, no more fabric". She was texting her friend so I told her to sit at the pattern table and then she decided that she wanted me to make her a Halloween costume. Dread, she was perfectly happy to look at fabric after that. I told her I am not commiting to anything. LOL.
Hahaha... Been there, done that. LOL
It is so awesome that you got to meet up with your friend from high school. Glad you guys had such a nice time together. Your pictures are great-such good artists in your group! Lunch looks yummy and I love that picture from Star Tours. I am not a huge fan of ToT but I love RnR. Of course the kids love TSM so we try to do that 2 or 3 times a visit. So sad that Mike and Sully were not enthusiastic. There meet and greet area should be enclosed with some added AC so at least thet could stay cool even if you had to wait outside. I love the way you added your flip flop bling to your tank top, it looks perfect.
Thank you - it was such a fun day! I am so glad she was able to join us and that we had a good time - it could have been very awkward - but it wasn't. We hope to do it the next time the girls and I are down there too.
And thanks for the compliments on the flip flop bling... There was NO way I wasn't going to wear it - LOL
Can't wait to hear more. Ok, didn't have to wait too long. LOL. Glad you had fun meeting Buzz and Woody or should I say waiting in line to meet Buzz and Woody.
looking forward to seeing your next auction item and all your new things that are going to be huge
Well - I hope you all don't have to wait long, but we will see. I am so excited about the thing for me - I just hope I can pull it off.
First of all I have to say holy crap, when did Yearbooks get so expensive? I swear I only paid about $20 for mine and it had my name on it. Of course that was over 20 years ago.
I want to say that ours were $35 - I am almost positive.
Yes, I do read and now I'm excited to see the Holiday themed bag! I'm actually hoping it's NOT Halloween with my trip coming up in 33 days. If it is Halloween I am going to have a really hard time not bidding on it because it would be perfect for
MNSSHP!
Sorry that it's a Halloween bag. I wasn't even going to do one this year - and I was looking at my fabric stash, I saw the interior fabric and I was like "Hmmmm???"... I started counting the weeks between the end of my auction and Halloween - and if I was going to do Halloween - now is the time to do it.
I cannot wait to try WPE in October! And those boat rides to DTD, I'm sad I'm going to miss out on those this trip since we ended up at CSR. We loved riding down from POR on our honeymoon. Of course crazy camera guy ruined the experience for you guys.
Have you stayed at CSR before? I keep wanting to try a new resort - but then I sort of hyperventilate when I think about how big they are. LOL I am a creature of habit, I guess.
I do love Beignets although I haven't had them at Disney. Strange for me as I usually prefer my desserts to be chocolate.
LOL - I've never thought of them as desserts... I do believe they are a new food group unto themselves.
Loved all of your Eeyore pictures! I will be dragging DH to one of those classes next month.
Thanks... I think the girls and I could go to DHS and do this all day long. LOL
The Starring Roles lunch looked yummy and of course you got a Napoleon!
It was soooo good... And the only reason I had changed my previous lunch reservation to dinner (for Sci-fi) because I knew we wanted to eat our CS at Starring Rolls that day - and it's only open for lunch. It worked out perfectly.
Sorry your meet and greet with the Monsters was so bad.
It's OK... Hopefully next time it will be better.
You will be fine with Zumba. I have absolutely no balance due to a bum ankle but loved doing it! I probably looked ridiculous but I didn't care! Unfortunately it turned out to be too much impact with my bad ankle so I had to stop doing it.
You shoulld have seen me last night... It was rather comical. My body does NOT move like that... So, I did my own thing - I am sure I got a work out of some sort. LOL
The costume part is my favorite on the Backlot Tour too! I so wish they would stop the tram even for a minute so you could see more.
I know - me too. I had heard one time of someone who was able to tour costuming... I would love to do that! And that is a tour I would pay for, for sure!
Loved all the pictures from the Toy Story line!
Thanks!
Ok, all caught up from the weekend. Just going to stalk this thread all afternoon to see the new auction bag!
Hahaha...
THanks!
Adorable pictures! I have never met the Toy Story characters at HS. The queue looks like so much fun!
Awww... You need to meet them - they are so cute!
zumba....
Sister and i tried that.. did NOT go over well...
Hahaha... Can't say it went over well for me either. But we had fun!
I Love the pictures and ho hum.. Where did Allie go?? Where are HER pictures?!?!
I asked her the same thing... She is so busy - I am not sure when she will be back? :/
What isn't there to do in HS?!?! I LOVE the whole park. so to me it could be any of it. shows TOT RNR street performers. the whole thing is AMAZING! the great movie ride is fan tab ulous
You are NEVER going to guess! Actually, it should be an easy guess - but no one has guessed it yet.
Hi ~ I have finally gotten to the last post of your report. I just can not keep up I disappear for a day or two and there are ten pages of posts.
Hi Jane! So sorry that there are so many pages to read through.
I am loving your TR it is progressing nicely. Can't wait for the next installment.
I am glad you are enjoying it.
Allie ~ Welcome I can't wait to see more of your pictures and to hear about the trip from your point of view.
Me too! I hope she comes back soon.
Love both bags Sully is my favorite. That cat always has scared me for some reason but the tail was a great addition to that bag.
Thanks! I loved making both bags!
Hope you have a great day!!
Jane
I hope you had a great day too!
OK, backing away from the computer muttering, "I do not need another bag, I do not need another bag."
I am so totally in love with this bag and it would be perfect for my MNSSHP. Must keep repeating "I do not need another bag".
Nope - you don't need another bag.
You have outdone yourself D~. I LOVE this bag...and of course you go and do this right before my trip! I do't know if I should bid for my trip or not bid because I have a trip and really need to save my extra money!
Sorry... It's that time of year - I was sooo in the mood to make something "Halloween"... And that fabric is awesome!!!
Seriously...this is an AWESOME bag!! I love the theme and the colors. Just fabulous!
Thank you very much! I really want one for myself too!
Welcome! And thanks!
I do want another bag I do want another bag I do want another bag I do want another bag
i CANNOT wait too see the others too!!!! ohhh giddy giddy
Hahaha...
Oh, I WANT, I just don't NEED!
Hahaha...
Sorry it took you a while to cheer up V after the meeting with Sully. You are such a tease by NOT sharing any pictures with Woody and Buzz. But I for one know that you now have your CD so you best get those pictures up.
Love the Mickey Halloween bag...it is adorable.
Yah - she was pretty hurt... I felt so badly for her.
Thank you... I had a lot of fun making it.
The bag is great but I covet the wallet. I fell in love with those Mickey Bats the very first MNSSHP we went to, way back in 2008. They are so darn cute!! (I like bats. A lot. And Batman. but I digress)
Awesome pictures too. Love the fingernails on Mickey's gloves.
I know - I fell in love with those bats too - they are so awesome! I had no idea what I was going to do to the wallet, and as I was appliqueing Mickey - I thought EUREKA!!! The bat! I was so happy with myself! LOL
And I think that photo of my nails is one of my all time favorite on my photopass CD. Believe it or not - my other favorite is of me in a swimsuit!
Thank you!
D, a great start with the photopass pictures. I have to say my favorites are the ones with Rapunzel...probably because we had the most fun with her. She was a riot.
We loved that Rapunzel... She was fantastic. She was the last of the princesses we met that night, and we were starting to back up a long line behind us... I didn't realize how long it was until we went to leave... I actually apologized to the people in the line. I felt horrible. But she was fantastic and really talked with us a lot!
Just went back and read the actual trip update
I could literally just stop and stare at the costume shop for hours. The rest of the tour is "been there done that." but there's always something going on in the costume shop. And it reminds me of my days building costumes for school.
I know - and they go through there SOOO FAST! I wish they would stop and let you look for a moment.
yeah...you and me both!
D....I love love love the picture of your Mickey nails in his hands. That is awesome!
Thanks! I love it too!
Okay, inquiring minds want to know....what does the Army guy sign for a name?? Bradey calls him "Green Guy". He has a green guy that he plays with at my Gram's all the time. He has no idea that he is from Toy Story, just a green guy. But what does the signature look like??
He signed "Green Army Man" LOL I plan to show the whole pillowcase at the end of my TR.
I'm so glad you didn't wait to share Photopass pictures. They are sooo good! Especially the one of your hands/nails in Mickey's hand. Just MAGICAL!
Thank you! That in one of my favorite!
I have never met Rapunzel...she's on my list for this trip!
She was WONDERFUL - and by far - our favorite princess!
Loving the Halloween bag D!
Thanks Tasha~
Your PP pics are really cute! I can't believe you got 5 disc!!!
I usually get two or three and I think I'm doing something special. lol!
I try so hard to get as many as I can... And this time, it was soooo hot - and they were few and far between. IN the end, I am happy with the amount I was able to get.
Hoped on after seeing your post about the PP pictures on Facebook. Don't want to get behind!
THanks for checking back.
You've got some great ones already. My favorites are the Mickey nails with Mickey's hands and the one of Cinderella checking out V's headband.
Thanks! I am thinking of making it my FB photo.
Hurrah for getting your photos! I can't wait to see more.
Thanks! I am excited to share them!
I am sorry your encounter with Monsters Inc was so bad. I've had one bad meet in California and it was HOT then too so I bet that is the reason - although it's no excuse.
It probably was the heat... I feel so badly for them. I wonder if they have fans or anything in those suits to cool them off? I would hope so - but I have no idea how they would do it?
Your bag is TO DIE FOR!!! I don't know how you keep coming up with so many awesome ideas. You are incredible!
Thank you!
Thanks so much for your TR. You are so warm and inviting and you do such a great job with it that I feel like I'm family sitting right next to you while you describe your experiences.
Awww... That makes me feel so good - thank you! I am glad you are joining us on our trip.
D~ You've got talent - serious talent!!
Thanks Brenda!
Thanks for the photopass photos preview. You can see the characters are all a twitter about your headgear!! Count me as another fan of your Minnie nails. So cute! That's a lovely Rapunzel.
I am glad you enjoyed them! I just love that photo of my nails and I am so glad the PP photographer got it... I didn't even realize he was standing there taking a picture of them.
Nice double dipping on the FP's! There are ways around it!!! Even if you didn't get to use both sets. I love gifting them upon people when I can't use them.
I felt kind of bad doing it - and I never would have thought of it, had I not read of someone else doing it. And I never let them go to waste - either we used them, or we pixie dusted them to someone else.
The meatballs from Akershus were always the best thing, even when it was the old buffet back in the day. So good!
I didn't even try V's... Maybe I should have?
I always look at the park map jewelry and just haven't gotten any yet.
I love it!
Thank you!
Wow, how funny that you ran into Taryn the same way you had run into her before! Glad you were able to make it in time to say goodbye to Suzi.
I know! It was kind of ironic - wasn't it? LOL So happy we were able to say goodbye to Suzi too!
WPE is a great choice. One of our favorites.
We will certainly be going back.
How cool that you got to meet up with an old friend! What a great way to spend the day at DHS.
We hope to do it again - it was wonderful!
Awww, how sad that V had a bad meet and greet with Mike and Sulley. Especially when she was looking forward to it!
Yah, she was so bummed - it was the ONE thing she was most looking forward to.
Okay hold on wait. I know what ride you're going to do.....
THE GREAT MOVIE RIDE!!!!!!!
Hahaha... It isn't a ride...
Thank you!
If I remember right the first road trip I took with my grandparent's I was about 8 and my sister was 6. They took us to Iowa to visit my Great Grandma. We were only gone that trip about a month. Maybe try a week here and there and work up to the longer trips. It is memories they will never forget. It also made me closer to my grandparent's as I got older.
This is just fantastic... And such great memories for you! Thank you so much for sharing - it makes me want to pack up my car and go for a drive.
I finally checked when the kids last day of school is and it's June 12. So now I can really start at least checking prices on everything and go from there. I do think it'll be fun.
WHOOT! I cannot wait to hear all about it!
Good luck at Zumba tonight. Never done it either.
Thank you - it was fun!
Love all the photo pass pictures and glad you had a better meet and greet with Buzz and Woody.
Thankfully - I am so glad we did too.
Ahhh I love how Mickey looks as a vampire! To bad I don't have a Halloween trip. Or actually maybe it's a good thing I don't have a Halloween trip planned.
Thanks! I am very happy how he turned out.
**********************************************************
I worked in my sewing room most of the day yesterday, as you all saw.
Once I finished the bag, I finished the last two panels on Victoria's first custom for our next trip... Now I have to wait for the pattern to get here, so I can make the top portion. I am very anxious, because I want to see it finished.
I picked V up from school yesterday and took her to her appt...
Then we went out for dinner at Jimmy Johns... I love JJs!!!! It was delicious!
We stopped by Target to kill a little bit of time. Victoria stayed there, while I went to Zumba... She said she'd rather sit there than to watch old ladies work out.
I am not sure I would consider us "old"?
Here we are BEFORE class... I tried to talk them into taking an "after" too, but they wouldn't go for it. LOL But these are some of my favorite Target coworkers... Most of them went with us last year to our Cranfest weekend in Wisconsin (so they may look familliar to some of you)... Speaking of which - Cranfest is coming up in a few weeks and we are booked to go back - we are all excited! Anyways... The photo... LOL
We had a lot of fun - none of us had any injuries... And we all signed up for the weekly Zumba class... So, I guess this will be an ongoing thing for me for a few months? Hopefully I can catch on to some of the moves by then?
Afterwards, V and I came home... Josh was in bed - he threw out his back again yesterday... Went to the Dr... Gave him some meds (which is all they EVER do... Grrrr... I wish they would just fix him)... I have a feeling he will be home from work today. Poor guy... I always feel so badly for him when this happens.
Today, I will be starting my next custom order... It should be a fun one!
I am getting the feeling that I am moving this TR along too fast.... Honestly - do you all want me to slow down?
I hope you all have a fantastic day!!!
D~
