Just found out my son has severs disease in his legs. What can I do to help make this less painful for him? Brought gel cups for heals, stretching and getting orthotics. How to make Disney trip easier with the walking? Thanks

Hi -

aww poor guy - does your hotel have a pool or hot tub? maybe spending some time pre/post part walking would help - stretching in warm water is always easier,,,,,,,,

 DD has this and we just take our cues from her. When her heels hurt too much we rest. At the end of the night, sometimes wee hours of the morning ;) of our Disney day we have her roll her foot on a cold can/bottle of soda or water. Our ortho MD says she will outgrow this about age 15. :scared1: Hang in there and have a great trip.

What can I do on a daily basis for him... sports seasons and daily day to day...any extra tips you have come across? He is scheduled for physical therapy this week. Started the stretching and I can already feel the difference in his range of motion. Have been putting ice and rest. Certain kind of sneaker work better> How about for a soccer cleat. He was limping so bad yesterday...today he woke up and felt great! Hard to keep him from playing ! Great suggestions...keep them coming! Thanks
