We will be arriving 11/21 at 11 am and staying at BCV for four nights before heading off to Vero for another four nights. There will be seven of us, myself, dh, ds, dd, dd, mom and niece. We have all been to Disney before, so I feel like we really don't need to have a rushed park trip. But then again, we are only there from Thur morning until Monday evening. What are your thoughts on this?

Would you go to a park the first day? We are throwing around this option of using a ticket for this day or not. If not, we would hang around the pool and probably eat dinner at the Flying Fish, my favorite restaurant. If we went to a park, we would go to Epcot.

I have heard that if you purchase a 100 year mug, you can use it both at BCV's and at Vero, instead of buying two different ones. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks for any thoughts,
Kelly

Kelly,

Going to Epcot after you arrive for lunch and spending the afternoon is a good idea. You can still eat at Flying Fish and then go back to catch the parade and fireworks. Another idea is Disney Quest - it probably won't be as crowded on a Thursday. I have never been to Disney Quest, so I don't have any first-hand knowledge of what it is like. But it does sound interesting!! You can then have lunch or a snack in DD and then dinner at Flying Fish, have Gramma babysit at night and go to JellyRolls!!

If it were me, I'd go to Epcot. At the beginning of the trip, I'm usually chomping at the bit to go play. Besides, World Showcase will be just opening up at that time so if you focus on that area first, by the time you hit Future World the crowds will have migrated to WS by then.

I don't know about you, but I can't do 12 solid hours in a park anymore so that amount of time should be plenty to get your money's worth out of a park. Also, crowds should be fairly light that time of year and even in a crowd, Epcot is pretty easy to navigate.

You can enjoy "Resort Time" once you get to Vero Beach!

Whatever you decide, HAVE FUN!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Happy Day!

Depending upon your habits and whether you take home any souvenirs from each trip like we do at Xmas time, we spend the first day walking around Downtown Disney to size up the merchandise that's available there and then when I get to the parks, I know whether an item the family might want can be bought with my DVC Amex discount at the Downtown store or is only availale in the park. Either way, it gets me in the Disney and holiday spirit.:bounce:
