Hey, Where exactly in the pier in Grand Cayman that the tenders go to? I'm trying to plan our day.
AND what time do they start letting people off?
And how early can you get tender tickets?
AND does the whole group need to be together for tender tickets? Or can hubby go get all 3 for all of us...?

Thanks!!!!!

We just returned from the Western cruise yesterday and visited Grand Cayman last Tues.

Don't know exactly how to explain where the pier is except to say it is right in the downtown area there. If you are planning an excursion you'll be instructed where and when to meet to get on the tender. I recall from our our personal Navigator that those who weren't planning an excursion would be able to leave beginning at 10:30AM. As it turned out things went so smoothly those without excursions were able to go ashore earlier than that.

We had our Grand Cayman excursion planned before the sailing and our tickets were delivered to our cabin the day before.

Have a wonderful time. Lots of great shopping there.

The Magic tenders to the Georgetown pier on the West end.

Don't know the answer to the others, but we were off the ship around 9:00 A.M. We weren't the first tender. I think the DCL excursions get first dibs.

DCL excursions get first dibs, and non-concierge guests need to wait at the Walt Disney theatre in order to get a ticket. They take guests from the theatre in groups based on remaining tender space until open tenders is called (usually around 10ish)

The entire party must be in the theatre to get tickets, and the process does get hectic sometimes, but it doesn't last too long.

My suggestion is that if you absolutely need to be off the boat early, get down to the theatre first thing after they drop the anchor. We did that last cruise and still made the first tender.

HELP! We have an excursion with Nikki's horseback riding at 9:00. Will we be able to make it? It isn't a Disney excursion. Did I mess up?

Don't worry. Be happy!!!

We just got off the Western Cruise this past week and we had a private excursion booked for 8:30. We made it to our destination by 8:00 AM.

If you are not on a Disney Excursion, you go to the Walt Disney Theatre at 7:30. Your entire party must be present. They then give you a ticket. On our particular day there were only about 60 people present at this time. We were then escorted to the tender boat and were on the first one.

I could be wrong, but to me it looked as if people who booked through Disney were on a totally different tender that went out the Aft of the ship. We were never with Disney Tours. Those who booked private tours or just wanted to get to the Island, left through the front of the ship.

The tender ride holds about 100 people I would guess. It took about 10 minutes. When you get off head up to the dock to the street. If you need a cab, turn to your left. Walk over a small bridge and there is another dock like information building on your left. It was here that we found all the taxi's. We just went to the first one in line and off we went. People going to 7 mile beach paid $5.00 US each. We paid $6.00 to get to the Yacht Club which is a little further.

Good Luck
