Todays original plan was for a buffet brekkie followed by a trip to the outlets and Mall at Millenia.
Jack woke up to say that his toothache hadn't subsided but he insisted we carry on with our breakfast plans. Jack dosed himself up with ibuprofen and paracetomol and Paulet being the well prepared matriarch had brought some 'Gengigel' from home ( a numbing gel for tooth and gum problems) which he uses as well, we set off early for our 8.00am ADR at Cape May Cafe. A very quick and easy drive to the beautiful Beach Club see us there at 7.55.
We are seated almost straight away and are assaulted by our server (in the nicest possible way!) She goes by the name Cindy and is a miniature Tornado of energy and chat
She had us in stitches for the whole meal.
We set about breakfast with gusto, including Mickey Waffles
We all agree that breakfast although yummy is not as good as Crystal Palace, Paulet especially misses the cooked to order omelettes.
When Cindy notices our empty plates after our first round at the buffet she launches into - " why you not eat more ? Its free! Lots more yummy yummy in your tummy "
Cindy lets us know when the characters are on their way and we jump up like excited school kids to grab our photos with Minnie, Donald and Goofy
After breakfast we have a quick nose around the hotel - it's gorgeuos and instantly goes on my 'must-stay-here-one-day list!'
It's now that Jack confesses that he is in absolute agony despite the painkillers so we hastily change our plans and drive to DTD to see the Virgin Holidays rep (inside the House of Blues) for advice on emergency dental treatment. She gives us the phone number of their health care line and we pop back our hotel room to give them a call. They are extremely helpful and advise that if we can get to a family dental practice in Celebration asap they will see Jack straight away.
We set off to Celebration and after a short struggle we find the surgery. They are very pleasant and Jack is seen immediately. They advise that he has dislodged a filling and it is pressing on the nerve and the only fix is a root canal. Jack decides that this is far too large a procedure to have done here and they agree to prescribe him antibiotics and strong painkillers to tide him over until we get home.
Jack pays $150 for the consultation and x-rays which he receives to take back to his dentist.
We drive off over to a Publix pharmacy by the 192 and collect his prescriptions ($31.90) He has Amoycilin, Ibuprofen (800mg) and Codeine.
Jack is ok to salvage some of our original day's plan and we stop off at the Vineland Road Premium outlets on our way back.
Jack buys some Oakley t-shirts and shirts and Paulet picks up a new Guess handbag.
Back at SSR we ponder over our evening meal as we originally were going to eat up on I-drive. We agree to wander over to DTD to see if we can get a walk up anywhere as we have no reservations.
Rainforest Cafe is the first restaurant we pass so we try our luck, and as its still quite early (5.30) we have no problems in walking straight in. Whilst waiting to be seated we have a chat with an American family who are very inquisitive about our Magic Bands, wanting to know what they were and what they did ? They seemed very impressed with them, but then again so are we having been using them for 3 days, and we sing their praises highly.
We sit near the gorillas for another excellent meal. Ribs for Jack, Steak for me and Turkey Wraps for Paulet.
Jack feeling better
Paulet usually uploads these type of pics to Facebook as ' Me and hubby!'
Dessert can only mean one thing
V O L C A N O ! ! ! ! !
Whats not to like about this !!! Its demolished very quickly (are they sure it serves four??
)
Dinner done, and feeling very satisfied with ourselves and being still quite early we check out the Lava Lounge.
With a nice table blagged we settle in for a few beverages! Strawberry Mojito
followed by Bombay Sapphire Gin and Tonic for Paulet. Sam Adams for the boys.
Yes Jack, looking cool, but seriously the sun set 2 hours ago
Very nice place to sit and unwind - we like lots! Eventually we stagger out and back around the lake to SSR - To finish the day we send Paulet off to get our evening Hot Choccies !
Dining Plan - Day 3
3 TS credits at Cape May Cafe ($79.85)
3 TS credits at Rainforest Cafe ($98.61)
