Only seven? My DD has to go 'til June 15th, she's going batty waiting!

Of course, a couple days into vacation and she'll be moaning about being BOOOORED....

Can't wait for summer vacation to be here! (not that I get one, but oh, to not have to do the "is your homework done?" line of questioning for a while will be wonderful )

My brother's girls got out on May 20. Wow! But they go back so early in August.

Count me in as a child too. My one son is SUCH a challenging student - I am forever having to chase after him to have his work done. It's so nice not to have to do that for a few months (BIG sigh of relief). And even though I don't get a summer vacation, it feels like one when you don't have to get up so early (my high schooler gets on the bus at 6:50), and make lunches and nag people to get out of bed, etc.

Counting today my kids have 7 1/2 days left. I'm so ready to not have to ask if homework is done, band practice finished, papers signed and turned in, etc.

Including today, we have 6 days left.

But as DD12 say, it's really only 2 days left of actual school work. They turn in their books and clean out their desk on Friday. Monday is field day and the cook out. Tuesday the 5th grade class is going bowling and pizza for lunch. Wednesday the whole school is going roller skating and then something special for lunch.

When I asked DS14 what his schedule is for the last few days are, I get the typical shoulder shrug and "I don't know" outta him. I'm not real sure if it's a boy issue or a teen issue or a big 'ol combo of the two. I just can't wait to see what all he brings home after he cleans out his locker.
