We did something similar for our trip to WDW (had a movie weekend leading up to all the things/characters, etc. we'd see), but for our first family trip to Disneyland (with there being different rides, etc.) what do you think about these to get excited for our trip:

Alice in Wonderland (kids have never seen the animated version)

Pinnochio (kids have never seen)

Monsters, Inc. (I don't think my daughter has ever seen)

Cars 1 and 2 (seen these a TON of times, but with Carsland opening, we can't NOT watch these - hehe)

Up (haven't seen in awhile)

The Little Mermaid (my daughter LOVES Ariel, but I'm not sure if she's ever seen this movie - haha)

I think my son might enjoy some Indiana Jones movies (he can't wait to ride the ride, that's for sure - haha!).

Any others you can think of? Off the top of my head, movies we watched for our WDW trip:

Finding Nemo
Mary Poppins
Tangled, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Princess and the Frog, Snow White (so yeah, basically all the princess movies!)
All the Toy Story movies
The Incredibles
Bambi
POTC (all of 'em)
Star Wars (all of 'em)

peter pan
dumbo
sword in the stone
aladdin
tarzan
the haunted mansion (with eddie murphy)

What a good idea! We have 10 weekends left until our trip, but with Prom and Graduation taking up 2 of them it's like we really only have 8...I think I will start a movie list!

Bug's Life
Sleeping Beauty (it is her castle after all)
The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (Mr. Toad's Wild Ride)
Princess and the Frog (NOS)
Rescue Rangers (tv show -- roller coaster in toon town)
Winnie the Pooh

We have a good Disney movie collection, but dont have all of the ones on our watch list. We have 10 weekends until our trip as well, how do you giys find all the movies to watch without spending a small fortune to buy them all? We have only streaming for netflix but I would add dvds if I knew they had the disney movies I want...

I bought Mary Poppins and Petes dragon on DVD a couple months ago. DW thought I was nuts and that DD (3) wouldnt like either of them but in fact DD has fallen in love with mary popins and has watched it 2 or 3 times a week (would watch more if we let her). She knows the words and the dance moves to most of the songs now. We were at the mall this weekend and taking the elevator to the second floor and DD broke into one of Berts dances right there in the elevator with another family right there watching.

DD is so excited to go find Mary Poppins at DL. She keeps telling us "we have to remember to find Mary Poppins at disneyland".

Petes dragon she only watched once and hasnt asked to see it again, lol.

Other movies we have that are big with DD are Alice in wonderland the cartoon original. All toy story movies. All princess movies except sleeping beauty. She hasnt been able to sit through that one all the way yet. Winnie the Pooh (the latest one that was in theaters last year). Thats all I can think of right now that are disney.

All Disney Sing A Longs!

Also there's the Black Cauldron... though there's nothing at Disney that represents it :( Too bad, that was a good movie! Same with AristoCats and Oliver & Company.

Either netflix, friends or your trusty local library, which usually has a lot of titles available for free rental!

I would recommend the new Winnie the Pooh movie that came out last year. It was sort of lost in the abundance of summer movies (especially since it was released the same day as Harry Potter) but it was very very good. Inspired by the classic stuff.

We have a ton of dvd's that we bought over years but you can rent them from your local video store or I have seen something called disneymoviesondemand where you can rent a movie for 48 hours, as low as $1.99 per rental ( I have not used this but have seen it) On demand from the cable comp. also has alot of disney movies playing. Some are free, some you pay. I have seen movies on youtube before also. Also like previously stated you can rent them from the library.
