Well I'm not sure I'm new at this , but I would like a studio standard pool view Jambo House at AKL if they have those in that area Do you know where they would be located at AK or what floors they would be on ?

They would be on the 5th floor. It used to be if you made a AKV standard view reservation for Jambo it would be guaranteed pool view. They now have a few savannah view rooms as standard. So be sure to request pool view.

Thank you I did find David's and it says transportation is not included. Does that mean you cannot use the magic express ? I went back and it says you can use the ME ops sorry. Can you request a room location when renting points ?

As Laura said the villas are on the 5th floor. You can make a request (or the points owner can), but it's not guaranteed. It all depends on availability.

Thats great I didnt think you could ask for a room request. Or is that for the value studio ? Whats the difference in value and standard studio ? I also have another question are there only elevators on the ends of the buildings ? I did see a map that showed only elevators like on the ends of the buildings. Do they have any stairs any where ?

We just want to be near the pool because every Disney vacation we are running back and forth to the pool more then any where else Oh just went back and read that for a standard studio you need to make reservations 7 months in advance and we are wanting to go in October There may not be anything available

Good Morning! Checked in CL yesterday and am totally in love with the lodge! Staff has been phenomenal and the theming is amazing. I had requested close to the lobby and bunk beds but only the close to lobby part was available -- cm said to check this morning and they would be glad to move us if a bunk bed room opens up (we love the room they gave us though so will be staying put.) Room was ready at c/I at noon. Family enjoyed the lounge while I checked in. Small issue w/phone not working that was quickly fixed. Saw lots of different animals form our balcony yesterday and there was almost always a few in view. Shortly after C/I a CM delivered 4 chocolate giraffes to our room along with a beautiful wood notebook / pen set for dd who just graduated from 8th grade -- this was a really cool surprise! We did DTD / Disney Quest yesterday and then stopped for snacks at the lounge (lots of yummy choices, plenty of tables available and very attentative cms tending the food) before heading over to the Magic Kingdom for the Wishes Dessert party. We had the perfect table up front and I was able to see the show/ fireworks fine from the table while the kids stood at the rail. Squeezed in a bunch of rides (all walk on) before closing. All in all a very magical first day and every CM we encountered was fantastic. DH has headed off to golf and I'm getting ready to wake dd's up and head over to MK. Have a WONDERFUL day everyone and THANK YOU for all the fantastic info on this thread that helped me sooooo much to plan this trip!!!

Sounds like your having a great stay! It's making me excited for our trip in aug.

What kind of H2O products do you have in your room? I heard they've changed.

Sorry I missed this post yesterday but it sounds like you are having a wonderful time! What a jam packed fun filled first day! Don't you just love the dessert party? Makes it really hard to go back to being packed in with all the crowds! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

You guys are a great group of people and we share our love for AKL.

In July it will be my third AKL stay. Im in love with the place, this time we are not even going to the parks!

We were wondering if guests at the Jambo house are able to use the pool at Kidani Village as well. There are elevators throughout, not just at the end. And there are also stairs that go down to the pool. I got lost last trip and found the stairs, not sure how many there are.

It never hurts to try. But the standards are smaller than the deluxe rooms, hence the lower points.

Yes you can, unless they're at capacity. In that case you could be turned away and only be able to use the Jambo House pool.
