Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Hi everyone, I will be visiting the Magic Kingdom on December 4 and 5th. I am trying to decide whether to get two days for the MK or the Dec 4th at the Christmas Party and the 5th the one day pass. Here's also the dilemma, I have never been on the Mine Train ride and that is what I really want to go on...even if only once. We have been to Disney 15 times and this time we are staying off-site (a rarity for us) so can't book any rides until the 30 day mark which I am assuming will mean no FP for this ride.

Any suggestions? Do they still keep some Fast Passes if you go immediately to the ride?

That's really the only options you have. If you go at night right before they close the wait times listed aren't as long as the actual time it takes to get through the lines. When I went a couple weeks ago, the Mine Train was listed as having a 40 minute wait, but in reality it was like 15-20 minutes.

At the party especially you should have good luck riding 7DMT with a lower wait toward the end of the night.

I had to wait until the 30 day mark this past March for FastPasses, and 7DMT was still available, just not until like 6pm or so. Hopefully December will be similar!

Getting in line very shortly before park closing has worked for us the last 4-5 times we've ridden and it works well Good luck!

Once your FP+ window opens I would keep looking to see if a time opens up if you really want to do a FP+ rather than take the above advice. When I booked my FP+ there were no available times for Seven Dwarves on either of my two days that I am going to MK, but one day while bored at work I decided to look just in case and there was ONE opening on one of my days, so I snatched up pretty quickly. Its mostly luck, but its worth a shot.
