Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Opening News

Press invites were just sent out for a "sneak peak" of the SDMT on April 30. Apparently, soft openings should start by April 1 though March isn't totally out of the question. I'm being told that the April 30 event will really be a grand opening if construction continues as the pace predicted. Some walls came down around the attraction a couple days ago. Expect more to come down soon.

I don't know why I always figured soft opening in April. Disney is going to want to put the ride, CM's, and que through its paces before the summer season.

I am going to be there between April 30th thru May 6th. Can I expect a shot on getting to ride SDMT or prepare to be disappointed. I have already planned my MK days to be Thursday May 1st and Sunday May 4th ,just crossing my fingers.

So excited! Hoping this is true. We will be there April 5th. Will be so excited if they are doing a soft opening then. How does that work? Is it open to all or do you have to get an invite to ride?

I will be at MK all day on April 4. I've told my kids that we won't be riding the Mine Train until our next trip but have convinced my non-coaster rider that this is an easy kiddie ride just in case we have the opportunity and need him to make a quick decision. What are my soft opening pixie dust odds? Will the CMs be terrified and run away if they see DD and I lurking around the entrance in our Snow White apparel, which just happened to be on clearance at our local JcP? I think I was better off when I convinced myself it was opening in June.

I'm wondering this too! We'll be arriving May 3 and we've never been on a ride when it's been this new - I'm scared to think of how long the line might be!
