The next event should be the Dis site crashing from the volume of people reporting that MDE is down.

Seriously, though, I sympathize with people who are trying to make reservations in the near future.

I'll try to keep from making the problem worse by trying to log into the system just to see if it's working.

Disney adds one new ride to one park and opens FP+, and this causes their $1.5B IT system to crash. (Facepalm)...why am I totally unsurprised...

I will be going May 12-18 so I will be too early for the official opening.
I am both sad and a bit relieved. I kind of think I may have better luck hitting a soft-open than I would getting a FP+ for the first few days of it being fully open. Based on my October 2012 visit where they soft-opened ETWB and Mermaid, I am fairly optimistic I will get to ride.

I was able to get in briefly. Changed FP+ to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the only day we can make it. Sadly, it only updated my wife's FP+ listing.
Somehow they delinked my AP from our account. Can't add it, can't make modifications.

Just talked to customer service, they said to try again in 2 hours.

They are making magical enhancements to the server.

Ok, I haven't read all 60 something pages but let me say that THIS is another reason I do not like this system! I get online this morning to see that FP+s for SDMT have open and the website won't work for me to try to get some for our June trip! If you want me to use this great new system them by golly make it work!!

And I don't have all day to sit in front of my computer trying to get it to work!

I wouldn't be surprised if the "soft openings" for this ride end up meaning that the ride is up as much as or more than it is down.

I could see not wanting to have the ride open as soon as the park opens because that would just add to the rope drop crush. As it is, I have no doubt that once there has been one soft opening (and maybe even before that) there will be some people who will hang around the entrance just waiting for a soft opening to occur. And once the ride does open to anyone, it won't take long for the word to spread and for the line to build to the point that they will have to cut it off.

This will be interesting to watch....from a safe distance of 1200 miles away.

I was online with both a DVC rep and a regular MDE rep, and neither one of them could get into the FP system either, and said give it an hour or two...we'll see!

I got FP+ for June 3rd. So glad I got on before the site crashed.

Totally agree! We'll be there for the next 2weeks and while a little disappointed we'll miss the opening, we are actually relieved as well. I can't imagine being in MK for this. Too crazy! Also, there's a pretty good chance of a soft opening ride. We were able to get into all of New Fantasyland before it officially opened and I expect to with SDMT as well; if not, oh well,we'll ride it next year when the chaos has died down a little.

Website on my laptop. I was also trying on my iPad and it was still not loading at all!
