Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ Opening

Oh for goodness sakes I wish they would announce the opening date at least they could announce it like this - If all goes as planned the new Mine Train will open */*/2014 ! :rotfl: I just want an idea so I can make plans for our up coming trip :bitelip:

Agreed, but the opening date has been pushed back so many times that they're probably scared to commit.:)

It really hasn't been pushed back so many times they have never announced a opening date so everything was just speculation. Disney only said spring 2014, if it opens in May or early June that is still spring so that is right on target for what they had said.

Have you tried searching for a FP+ for just one person for A&E? That's how most people have gotten them. Then you can copy from that person to the others in your party.

I just selected my FP+ yesterday. I will keep looking for SDMT FP+ to go up. Can you explain what you mean by this and how to do this? Want to make sure I understand when/if it goes up and I need to do it!

We'll be there the 10th and 11th, then again for the Memorial Day holiday. Keeping my fingers crossed we can get on at least one of the two! I haven't booked us a hotel for the 5/10 stay, but for Memorial weekend we are definitely offsite at Caribe, and being passholders, we already have 3 bands each (2 onsite stays + our passholder bands).

We'll be heading to WDW in July for the sole purpose of going on 7DMT. We can't book FP+ until the end of May, (hoping by then it will be on FP+) What time of day can you start making your FP+ selections. We've never used FP+ before so any info will be great. Thanks.

Count me as another worried person about being able to get FP+'s for SDMT. I wasn't able to get them for A&E, and SDMT worries me even more.

We will be there middle of May - here is hoping at least for some soft openings or DVC member opening.

Anyone have a guess when we will be able to make a FP?

I think this is unchartered territory, which makes it hard to guess! Sounds like the ride will likely open around May 2nd? From various blogs. However, to my knowledge this is the first attraction to open during FP+ era. So should we expect FP+ to become available the day of the ride opening or in advanced? I don't think anyone knows for sure. I would suspect they will not release FP+ though until a firmer opening date is released to the public.

That's my guess for what it's worth!:crazy2:

I may have a different opinion of this thing. While more than certainly the ride will have serious interest, it more than likely will have TONS more available slots than Anna & Elsa. Even if there were THREE sets of her - each group might take two to three minutes. Versus a roller coaster that could flip through 30 people each minute.

But I also think it will have far more wide-ranging interest. Almost every guest planning a trip to the MK will want to ride it (at least those over 38" ;)) That's not even close to being the case with A/E.

Regardless, it will be very interesting to see it unfold. Even if I can't be there to ride it in person.

That is also my guess. If I were Disney, until I felt it was 100% up and running I wouldn't release a single FP+

I'm going to keep a close eye on the day of the press invite. I can see Disney making an announcement about official opening day then (in which case FP+ could start being available for that day). Again, fun guessing!

Whenever Disney gets around to making a new ride :rotfl2: in the future we will be better prepared at guessing when FP+ will be released.

My husband does not want to ride it and he is well over 38" tall. :rotfl:
