(sorry if I spelled it wrong!) I'm trying to decide if it would be fun to see or annoying. Has anyone been?

I saw it in Boston 2 years or so ago. I really enjoyed it, but they were still working out a lot of the kinks.

Basically it wove a bunch of different Dr. Suess stories into one.

If you like Dr. Suess, I think you will enjoy it.

The DW & I saw it when it was on Broadway. We really enjoyed it. We liked the music so much, we bought the cast album when it came out.

who is playing the Cat in the Hat?

we saw Cathy Rigby as the Cat.

unfortunately it was alos the time Aaron Carter decided he wanted to be a Broadway actor (my dd's loved that, but I thought Aaron was a "triple threat" -can't sing, can't dance, can't act!)

it's a pleasant enough musical. I enjoyed it.

WE saw it and loved it . It isn't the best piece of musical theatre ever, but it was entertaining and charming. And I actually like the music (we had to learn to share our CD).

Go - you'll enjoy it.

I have to disagree on this one. I'm a HUGE Dr. Seuss fan and a huge Broadway fan. We saw it on Broadway a couple of years ago when it was in previews. Maybe they've smoothed some things out since then, but at that point it was pretty irritating. The music was just okay, and some of the lyrics that were supposed to be Seuss-like were just insulting. Normally I run right out to get the music after seeing a show, but I still haven't gone looking for this one, not even used.

Well, I bought tickets (before reading Petula's post - ack!). Hopefully we'll enjoy it. We're seeing Cathy Rigby next Saturday. Thanks for the input!

LOL I'm sure you'll love it. Hey, you get to go see a show. What else really matters? :)

We really enjoyed it - especially the guy who played Horton. The only problem with the show was all the parents who apparently have a different idea of what it means to behave appropriately than I do. I wonder if it's better if you're not in the cheap seats?
