setting the alarm

What is the best time to set the alarm to be at MK for the rope drop? We are staying @ POFQ, we are grandparents ( fairly young ones and early risers!)and will have an 8 and 5 year old with us. No EMH that day I believe...a week from Monday...Monday the 18th of Sept. I will be first one up and grabbing light breakfast foods from food court, so we can eat in the room. I just don't know how much time to allow for the bus.

Depends on how long it takes you all to get ready. I would set it for six. You need to allow plenty of time for the bus ride, plus the time it takes for the bus to pick you up, 40 minutes minimum just to be safe. If you're lucky enough to get a bus without waiting it will take 15 minutes tops to ge to MK. I just like to factor in the time spent WAITING.

In June, it was DS6, exMIL and I staying at POFQ. The adults got up around 630, showered and got ready while we let DS sleep in. We had drinks and breakfast bars in the room for breakfast since we knew we were going to be riding the big rides and didn't want to eat a full breakfast . We were at the bus stop around 800 and actually were the first ones at the tunnel under the train track waiting for rope drop. We had to wait about 30 minutes for the park to open. We allow 40 mins to get to the park including wait times, aim to get there 15 mins before, plus a minimum 30 mins to get ready to leave, plus up to an hour for breakfast each day... so for us to get there in time for opening, we'd have to set our alarm for 6:30 or there abouts.
