Anyone else has full sets listed as trades?
I have a few sets, but they are listed individually on Pinpics. Every now and then I have collectors who are wanting just 1 or 2 of the set. I just decline the trade.
But this makes me wonder if anyone else has sets for trade. Or if you have a set, do you usually keep it? And if you have traded your set, what was it and what did you trade for it?
Just call me noisy. ;)

Hey Barb! Good to see you posting again...

I only have the Mickey/Minnie trading starter set available.
My tradables/Wants are under Humpbacks1962

I hope to see what these guys will leave on the racks for me to pick up in two weeks...
::SIGH:: :mad:

I had my tradable set of the MM/Minnie in DL. The CM's wanted both pins of those pins for one of theirs, since mine is a set. I didn't see anything of theirs worth two pins.
I'm sure the WDW CM lanyards you will see will look better than the DL/DCA lanyards I looked over.
Happy trading!

but I think it would be harder to trade for a complete set. What do you trade for that equals the value of a set? Usually people are looking for one or two to complete something they started. When selling groups of pins, the average price seems to go lower as people offer only so much. Just my thoughts

Duckfan -- Agree. But on the other hand, it's not like it's terrible keeping them. Eventually they may end up framed. ;)
Just as examples, I have the 5 pin DCA Bountiful Valley series (Non-LE's). Those I bought as traders. Or I may try my hand on an auction and just sell them.
I had the yellow DL 45th anniversary balloon. Just by chance I traded for all the others in the set at DL.
My Snow White (unopened package) set of 8 (non-LE's) I may rip open and use for traders at WDW in January. Hate to break a set, even in the original package. But like you said, I think they are worth more apart than intact.
That's the part about pin trading that seems odd. It's just the opposite of other collectables. Sounds:crazy: , doesn't it?

Another thought too. For me, trading a set wouldn't have to be a 1:1 trade. I would trade a whole set, or sets, for the right pin.
