Time to get up early again, but it was so hard today. We laid in bed for as long as we thought we could then got up, had breakfast, and went to MGM. We didn’t get there before they opened so Seth went through the bag check and I grabbed one of our 2-ways and went to try to get on the Rockin’ Roller Coaster. It was just five after nine and already there was a 30 minute wait! So I grabbed a fastpass and tried to get Seth on the 2-way. Of course it didn’t work. I could hear other conversations but not Seth. I managed to find him and we went off to finally do the Muppets. After our time with the 2 grumpy old men and the rest of the gang I went back and road the roller coaster and Seth had coffee and a Danish to help him wake up. The coaster did the same for me. Then we met up and did the Animation tour. We saw the next new movie is going to be based off of Treasure Island, it’s called Treasure Planet. It looks really cool and we can’t wait. It was getting really hot by this time so we ended our time at the Studios by going through the Walt Disney exhibit. There were lots of neat things, like his elementary school desk that he had carved his initials in, his desk, the 3-D camera he built, mock ups of different castles and rides. Then we saw a film, which was neat and was narrated by Walt himself and Michael Eisner. Seth and I walked around a little more and took pictures, had a “smoothie”, and then left. We couldn’t find anything to eat that was air-conditioned. We ended up eating in the ASMo’s food court. I got another grilled chicken sandwich and Seth had a yummy chicken ceaser salad. We went back to the room and I slept while he worked on his pictures on the computer.
After a good nap for me and I guess productive time on the computer for Seth, we went to Epcot. We road Spaceship Earth first thing; I love the music and how Rome burning smells. They have changed a little but not too much. We messed around a little in Futureworld, had some Coke at Ice Station Cool, and watched the fountain, and played in Innoventions where we sent a video postcard. But the parade was starting and I was hungry, so we headed to Japan to see a bit of the parade and to eat at the Matsu-no-ma Lounge. The sushi was just OK this time and the service was poor, but the view was great. We watched the drummers on the temple and saw a woman making candy. We walked to France and saw our favorite movie. It has such great music. We were too full for French pastries and anyway the parade was starting, so we went back to Japan to watch it. Theare only doing 2 parades; they eliminated the one from Morocco to Canada. It’s not “Tapestry if Nations”, it’s “Tapestry of Dreams”. It’s pretty much the same but not as good; it’s doesn’t have the Timekeeper and now there are parts that have words, and little kids saying “I want to fly on a dinosaur” Some of the music has changed and I don’t think it’s as long. But the puppets are still fun and beautiful to watch. A kaki-gori was in order, so Seth got a rainbow one with strawberry, tangerine, and melon, while I got a cherry. His was good but mine was better. We took them to Germany where we got a good spot for Illuminations. We were on one of the little round areas that stick out a little and got a railing spot. I did a bit of shopping in the stores of Germany and then it was time. The music was so beautiful and it was a really great spot. We could see the video on the globe and everything made so much more sense. All too soon it was over and we went inside Germany to sit and relax and let the crowds leave. We talked and enjoyed the music and evening until we decided to leave. It was getting late and we were very tired.
