A quick check in...HI EVERYBODY!!! Sherry....I know Julian doesn't want to eat or drink but keep him medicated for pain so that he will! It's really important to keep his throat moist...tiny bits every few minutes are as good as lots every half hour. I'm sure they told you to avoid straws!...but get him a fun spoon to scoop ice cream or even sips of drink out of a bowl. Anything to make him want to drink!! You can also dip the end of a clean washcloth in liquid and have him suck off of the washcloth....tell him you're pretending to be Captain Hook and the washcloth is the "gag" so he can't call Tinkerbell!!!! Sorry...my nursing instincts kicked in again ...plus, Caitlin had her tonsils out at around Julian's age and ran into some trouble because she wouldn't drink. I am (and have been) thinking about ya'll...pm or email me if ya need to! Good luck...and don't forget to take care of "Mom" too!!!

Hi all... lazy kind of day here I am now currently working on getting Luis out of bed... finally

Betty, I hope you can kick the head trouble you've been having recently too. I'm not too thrilled about taking a lot of medications but the Claritin seems to be helping me a lot with some allergy stuff and I take less decongestants/pain killers with it. The cold feels like it is slowly clearing out and I think if I stay in for the next two days I will be fine. I know the cold doesn't help me at all. I hope you can find something that won't mess with the blood sugar too much I also hope your irritating cough goes away soon... those are just awful!

Sherry, sorry to hear that Julian had a rough night Listen to the nurse though, she knows her stuff. I remember my brother after he had his tonsils out, he was terrible. I think being put "under" doesn't "work well" with him because he is never hungry and very yucky feeling after it (the few times I have seen him, this is always the case). But after two or so days he was usually okay. I hope Julian is feeling better in a few days too!

I see a couple of you missed me. Thank you! The really bad part of working in health care is that you are exposed to a lot of germs, and some of my patients decided to share theirs this week. I caught a (don't look, Karen) NASTY GI bug that had me spending most of yesterday on the toilet with a trash can between my knees. I am SO dehydrated it is not funny!

But, it got me out of a 12 hour shift today, so can't complain. See you all in a bit, going back to my sofa and my ginger ale.

Answer to Elaine's question: Food, Football and maybe even SEX!!!

The last set of essays took me about 16 hours so I am thinking that is what this will take. These are things that I inherited from the teacher. The dates for these assignments were hers. Guess she knew to make two essays due while I was subbing. Guess that is why she is the experienced teacher and I am the sub. Note to self: Check assignment load before accepting sub positions........Actually, I don't mind grading and reading them, I just mind it taking so long. I have to wait until I have a block of time that is quiet and calm. Just can't find those moments in the state of Ohio. Maybe I should move??????

Got to take a quick shower and on to watch Chris play a quick game of basketball. Will be back later.

Bonnie I am SO sorry you are so sick. That stomach bug is NASTY. Thankfully we havent had to deal with it in our office yet. Makes me thank my lucky stars I work for a cardiologist. ((((((Hugs))))))))

Sherry, Jodie gave some really good advice about how to get Julian to drink. We did a few of those things with both our boys.

Well I went and did it. I now have a bracelet!!! I have seven charms!!! They were really inexpensive and I made sure to ask the girl if it was stainless steel. Stupid me though forgot to ask to keep the links though until we were almost home!! Now I have to order my yaya charm and a couple of the Disney charms I want.

Thankyou for saying I look good at the weight I am. I still have a long way to go to get to the goal the doctors have set for me for my height. I still have about 40 pounds to lose. I want to do it naturally though and not the way I have been losing it. Dh promised me a trip to the Poly Concierge, a massage, a new bathing suit and karate lessons for him to beat off the guys when I get to my goal weight ROFL

Afternoon everyone. After a night of watching OSU outplay Miami & Miami blow several opportunities, I am off to the ship's spa to get a massage. Luckily I'm not one of those super/psycho fans & can get over this quick. But last night I did have to wonder something....
