Hi, I am still restaurant planning.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you order the set menu in a restaurant, if it was possible to order a dessert that is not on the set menu and pay the extra in cost?
I am thinking that we would have to pay for the full set menu even if we don't have the dessert included in the price and then for the cost of the extra dessert? hope this makes sense.

they seem really sticky on the set menu and no changes - I was trying to get a set menu but there was no veggie appetizer choice, and it took a lot of conversation to convince them to change the appie, even though I was willing to pay the 0.50 cent difference.....

can't comment on dessert though - maybe someone else can share their experience.

I tried at the Auberge de Cendrillon, as I really wanted the Cinderella slipper, but apparently it couldn't be done, I assumed that because the buffet was on offer, they wouldn't have any alternatives available, although I'm sure someone on here has posted otherwise. :)

Never tried it, I'm afraid.

Jill, I'm sure someone on here said you could pay something like 3 euros extra to have the Cinderella's slipper at Auberge. Sometimes I think these things depends on who is serving you. :sad1:
