Service that makes ADRs and FastPasses

I am going to WDW in October with my 2 brothers, SIL, SIL's sister and my nephew. I have been 4 times in the past year and a half and really am just going to see my nephew experience everything. My SIL was talking about dinner reservations (they are not big planners, so they are just starting now to look at what is available) and how the places she wants are not available so she is going to pay some service she heard about to watch for openings and book the ADRs (and FP+ selections) for her. I have never heard of this and was trying to get more info about it.

Has anyone used (or heard of) such a service and have any feedback on it? It just seems weird to me.

I recently found out about something called ressie swipers. For a fee they watch for reservations and text or e-mail you when they are open. So far I have found the following.

You can get alerts through Disney dining buddy, but they are $8 to set up per reservation so keep that in mind. Also, these services do not book them for you. I don't know of a service for FPs. My suggestion would be having SIL look into using a travel agent who can guide her in the process and make the ADRs and FPs for her.

I have used Disney dinning buddy for my up coming trip in October with great success, but a TA can do the same for you for free, however since I had booked my vacation myself already along with some ADR's the TA I spoke to refused to help me book the ones I was missing on and that needed constant surveillance of the system (BOG CRT etc) for which I obviously did not have time.

I completely agree, but I am trying to stay out of the planning process because Sil and that brother have made fun of me for the planning I have done for the past few trips. They have not been since FP+ has been implemented and they don't feel planning is necessary. They only want to go to MK for MNSSHP and spend some time at Epcot (for food and wine) on another day and they think that it is not going to be crowded (or hot) so they don't really think FP are a big deal. I just want the five year old to have a magical time before he gets too old, so I am just keeping my mouth shut and hoping for the best.

I used Disney Dining Buddy for an ADR recently. I thought it was great. It is $8 each but well worth it. You do have to check your email often to catch it and then go book it. It's especially helpful since we never are able to plan trips 180 days out.

I don't have fast passes for myself yet. Our 60 mark isn't until the 15th. At that point I am thinking I will make a fast pass for myself and youngest brother (who is sharing a room with me) for some things that I know my nephew will like (mine train and Peter Pan pop into mind), especially at MK during the 4-7 hours of the party and then if other brother and Sil haven't made any I will give my nephew my band and have youngest bro take him on the ride.

I don't plan to make any comments if things aren't going well, as that will cause many problems. I am pretty nervous as to how this trip is going to go, but as long as my nephew has fun, it's all good.

I just used WDW tools for an ADR that I was unable to get at 180 days out. They text and email, which made it really easy for me as I don't check my email and have my text on vibrate. I had my exact request (date and time) within 48 hours. IMHO worth it... On the website it tells you that usually every 24 hours a new adr pops up for your time slot. Worked great for me, I would highly recommend for hard to get ADR!

As another PP mentioned, it's just an alert so you still have to click the link they send you and make the reservation. If you do it quickly chances are you'll get the ADR. They (my brother more so than my SIL) are pretty resistant to making the FP at all. Back when youngest bro and I were making ours for our trip in June resistant brother said he would never do that because he refuses to have to spend time making plans ahead of time or deal with a schedule on vacation. I explained that a little bit of planning could save lots of waiting in lines when there. He responded that he just won't wait in line. When I tried to explain about it, he accused me of trying to plan my perfect vacation, not his. I told him I have seen everything I want to in the past few visits, I was thinking of the small child going with us. So I guess that means my nephew will miss out on lots of things that he would probably enjoy. I am hoping that brother relaxes a little bit about it once we are there. He is not looking forward to the trip at all and his wife is doing everything she can to accommodate him to make sure he is as happy as can be. (I don't really get why he is going at all)

I love the idea of text alerts, so you can just do it all on your phone.

They work on commission and only receive commissions from Disney on room-only and package reservations plus ticket sales of tickets for 3 days or more. Some TA"s will book ADR"s and FP+ for people who did not book their trips through them but will then charge the client a planning fee.

TA"s do not make commissions on ADR"s and FP+, therefore cannot afford to simply offer this service for free to those who have not booked trips through them or paid a fee. I'm sure if you had transferred your booking to the TA or cancelled and rebooked through her, she would have been happy to help with your reservations as then she would be getting paid for the time she would be working on your behalf. She obviously cannot take time away from work that will earn her a living to help people plan for free.

Oh dear. Your brother sounds like my DH! LOL! I think your idea of making FP+ for yourself and then handing the MB off to your nephew if need be is a good one. Sometimes DS7 and I go off to a park on our own while DH goes to the spa, gym or pool. I do hope your nephew enjoys the trip. I think you have a great attitude and approach to the whole thing!

I just booked my daughter's family fps. Got 6 fps for Sunday Labor Day weekend not exact time but they share a 15 minute window for 7DMT. Briefly I thought I would enjoy doing this for others and getting paid..after booking 4 days worth not so sure lol

Dont take me wrong i never meant to say a TA should have helped. I understand how they work. I was merely letting OP know that if she has a vacation booked and does not wish to go through the hassel of cancelling eveything and rebooking for the sake of just one missing ADR then the other companies on the market can help

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't want to have that responsibility! This is the first trip I have been involved with that everyone wasn't pretty much on the same page as far as plans go, so it is just going to be different. Luckily myself and my youngest brother are more go with the flow types than the other 3 adults going so we can easily adapt.
