What resorts have you all with service animals stayed in? Which are easier for potty areas than others? We are thinking about the All Star Suites but if there is another resort that would be easier for us with my son's dog we will look into that one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help.

We stayed at the Poly earlier this year. We stayed at the All Star resorts a few years ago but it's all about sensory overload. At the Poly we stayed in the building called Aotearoa. It was great because there was a field off to the side where the dogs could potty in privacy. It's also so much easier to travel with the monorail vs the bus system.

We have stayed at POLY, Animal Kingdom, and will be in SSR in June.

We found POLY easier. Mostly because the buildings and community. Where AK we had to walk to get out trough the main entrance and then walk to find a place. I am guessing SSR will also be convient.

That said, we will also be staying at AK again in October. The inconvience is worth it to me.... We *love* AK! :)

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

We love AKL too but it is tough to find a place for your SD to potty. Due to the themeing there is NO grass other than that found directly across from the bus stop and I refuse to let my SD go that close to the public. We then go into the parking lot to the right of the entrance where there's a little wooded area. It can be a long hike from your room. Once I got stuck at night in the sand out there in my w/c in a place where I was directed to go by CM's. A few of the CM's in suits had to come dig out my chair ( not a magical moment). We're staying there next week over Memorial Week since I've now figured out the right place for her breaks and it works for us. Really any resort is fine and you shouldn't be limited in your choices due to a SD.---Kathy

I loved our room at Caribbean Beach, as right out our door (on the other side of the sidewalk) was a good-sized private grassy area (it was hidden from the parking lot by trees). The resort is so laid out that there's nobody to bother you there. The only problem is that the one trash can for the building is in the center in the patio area - not only is it where some ppl eat snacks/meals, but it was a bit of a walk from our room. Next time I'll bring a small pop-up hamper and trash can liners or something.

I've stayed in other Disney resorts (mostly the Poly), but that was pre-SD so I was never on the lookout for dog potty spots.

With an SD, almost any hotel is workable.
