Over the course of the last week, when trying to access these boards, I've received a message from the DIS saying that the "server is too busy at the moment, please try again later". This has never happened before and it seems to be happening to me a LOT lately. Is it just me?? We have a DSL connection, the fastest one that you can get, so I don't think that's the problem. This is just very frustrating when I need my "fix". :furious: :goodvibes

This is also happening to me A LOT. Just the past week or so. :confused3 I don't know what's up, but I'm also getting frustrated.

I'll keep going though! :thumbsup2

arrrgggggggggggggggggg! It is annoying. especially when you say, oh I'll just check out the board for a min see whats new before I go to work, and you keep getting that message. You can't get your fix in before leaving. Or get half of it because while your trying to read the next page poof, server too busy. :badpc:

Now that school is out or almost out, I guess everyone is on the Dis planing their summer vacations.

Yet another recipient of this message. It's only been over the past few weeks, so hopefully, it is not a permanent problem.

Ha ha - when I tried to click on this message - I got the "Server too Busy" message! :lmao: :rotfl2:

This message board is HUGE with an unbelievable amount of members. Its grown past the capacity of the server to handle it. :badpc:

I have been getting the message. nice to know I found a popular Disney board. must have the best info.

The software that is used (vBulletin) has a little "feature" that can keep the load down on the server and just give you the "server is busy" error. That's probably why we're seeing it so much lately... just too many users connecting at the same time.

I'm not familar with what servers this site runs on specifically, but I just know from experience (my day job when I'm not sneaking on here!) that vBulletin produces that error when too many users are on at once.

I'm glad to hear it happens to those with DSL as well. I thought it was my dail up.

Also been getting the busy signal from the message board. I just hit my back button and start again.

It's been happening alot to me this last week too! Very frustrating and has caused me to double post a few times.

A couple of times I typed a whole message, only to have the "server is too busy" message pop up and somehow I lost everything I'd typed (I tried the back button but my message was gone).

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

So, I've taken to copying my messages before I hit the "submit" button. That way, if my message is lost I can just paste it into a new one instead of retyping.

Grrr... that happened to me on this post, :badpc: luckily when I hit the back button my post was still there. Earlier it happened but my post was gone when I went back. Then when I tried posting again and it told me I couldn't because I had already posted... :confused3 Oh well, me and the refresh button have become close buddies!
