Seriously?

We just got one for Girl Scout cookies, But I love Girl Scout Cookies and the gal that sent it works with DP on the PTA board. We ordered 2 boxes. I don't mind buying the stuff, I just hate selling.

If my next door neighbor sent me an email for stuff for her kids that would be another story..... (never mind we bought tons of stuff from her 4 kids over the years. Amazing how she didn't reciprocate when my daughter went to the same school her kids had been in but anyway I digress).

I have a friend who's girls are in dance...

They are selling pasta....

2 emails, and at least 10 Facebook posts so far!

Dear lord, send me a link, if I want the stuff I will buy it, but enough already! It gets annoying!

As for work, just post something in the breakroom, if I want it I will find you and sign up.... :confused3

Hey, Mike! I just got an e-mail from the Theatre Guild that they will be selling long sleeved T's and hoodies! A hoodie from the school would allow you to show your support AND keep your plain ole head nice and toasty! I'll be SURE to let you know just as soon as they are available!

Note to self: Always ask Mike to buy crap.

That's how I interpreted his post.

My youth group kids are carving jack-o-lanterns as a fundraiser for "Shine a Light" an organization that provides solar powered lanterns to girls living in refugee camps so that they can go to school. (Currently boys outnumber girls with a 4:1 ratio in the schools and the girls tend not to do as well because they can't study until after their family care chores are completed and the sun has gone down.)

They are available for pick-up at our church on the morning of the 31st...we're taking advance orders. Should I put you down? ;)

JSG -- Yeah, I get irritated by how certain people always seem to be asking without contributing themselves. But, I also know lots of people who are doing really good things and who are very generous themselves when you are fundraising. (I don't do much myself, but, I work with youth trying to provide them with an awareness of the societal need for stewardship. So, we do lots of smaller projects driven by their interests.)

I find that I'm very good at giving money to things that I consider to be true stewardship, but, it's pretty rare for me to purchase candy or hand out cash to the kids who show up at the door asking for money for their soccer team or their band (sorry Mike). I'm not sure what I'll do if I have kids that are expected to raise money that way.

Hey! Dont judge us!

I love to buy crap from peoples kids! Especially food! And God help you if your High School band is having a car wash! I roll down the window, crank some drum corps, and usually drop a $20! :rotfl2:

Uhm, Mike... normally you roll the windows UP at a car wash!! Although your way is good for cleaning the interior too! :rotfl:
