Seriously, What's the deal with Fantasmic?

I've seen a few threads about his lately, some people were confused because they thought folks were asking about the scheduled refurbishment time in early November. No, I want to know why it has disappeared from the WDW calendar???

If there is not going to be a Fantasmic showing, this changes all of my plans for that day. We don't have hopper passes (we're just spending a few days at WDW before we sail on the Wonder), so I will most likely pick another park to visit. I have to change dining plans and everything.

Please is there anyone out there that knows why it has disappeared from the WDW calendar? I'm not sure WHEN it disappears, I just know it is no longer on the schedule for Saturday, October 14th. Also if I booked a Fantasmic package, is Disney good about notifying me if they know it is not going to take place that day? If so, how much notice will they give me?

Anyone?

I think contacting Disney would be your best bet for your answer.

Disney isn't known for having the most accurate (or useful, or informative) website. While you should get good answers here, I agree you may want to call Disney (Dining) to find out about your Package. I'm guessing you'll never hear a word from THEM, so it's worth calling for some answers.

Though I have no clue what is going on. I do know that often times, Disney removes things and adds them back when adjusting schedules. One day it's not there, and another it is.

For example: A few days ago I looked at the schedule for a MVMCP night and it said Wishes was at 6:00 while it's likely Holiday Wishes and at 9:00 pm.

I believe it was just a web glitch. I checked our date on 10/1 last night...and no Fantasmic. This morning seeing your post I checked a bunch of dates, and it's all back again. :goodvibes

Right! Im surprised that Disney doens't have a better website. I haven't been on Universal's website in a while, so I dont know if this still applies but, they had video clips of their attractions that you could see to get an idea of what you are going to do.

Thanks for all that replied. It's back now, although I KNOW it was not there earlier today. Why do they do that to crazed planners like me... post it then take it away then put it back...urrrggg

Thanks all!

It's scheduled for refurbishment from 1st to 8th November inclusive so you're safe! :thumbsup2

Try looking up Extra Magic Hours some time..... *insert smilie tearing its hair out, here*

To Civileng68: The reason you saw Wishes at 6pm on Mvmcp nights on the calander is because Disney will now be showing Wishes twice on mvmcp nights. Once for Regular day guests and once for mvmcp guests. I just heard about this recently.
