I am getting so I HATE Disney's online reservations search engine.

I cannot believe that WL is booked for these dates. I thought that was a slower time at Disney?

I know this isn't much consolation, but WL is EXTREMELY popular during the holidays. That is the tail end of Pop Warner week and although they won't be there, it may have caused some people to decide to upgrade out of the moderates to avoid them.

I am looking for WL around that time in 2008 and only concierge and CY BB are available. I am just hoping it is because they are still releasing all of the rooms.

Could this be the weekend of the Santa Claus Parade taping. I know last year I was going to go down for a day, and book the bounce back deal, and this was the only weekend I could get away, and everything was booked solid for this weekend. confused3 Now I'm paying for 2 weeks of dining. ) Keep checking for cancelations, I'm sure something will come up.

The parade taping is around there somewhere.. and frankly ... I dont' think there will be a 'slow time' this December.

Anecdotal evidence would indicate this December will be one of the busiest on record for the parks and Disney resorts.

The WL is one of the hardest resorts to get to during the holiday season so I am not surprised at all especially since that is a weekend.

This is mainly observation, but most of the travelers during this time of year are disney vets, so while the disney resorts may be full (value season = lower rates) the parks still aren't that bad because there are less off site guests. Weekends are busy though because many locals go as a holiday tradition. I wouldn't be too worried about crowds though, still a lot less busy than the summer.

The parade is usually taped the last weekend of Nov/first weeked of Dec. I have heard this year it is Nov 30-Dec 2. That is probably the last weekend of POP Warner and the first weekend of Mousefest, so that is probably why you can't get anything. I would call about 2 to 3 times per week, something might open up. They may also open up more when the discount code becomes avail for that time period. I was able to get a WL woods view with the last code near the end of the booking period.
