seriously mad!!!

I work as a technician in a food & Textiles department at a secondary school and this week is Design week, so we have various visitors in each day. I made earlier a dozen seriously good choc chip cookies (as part of our lunch for todays visitors) and left them to cool in an area that students are not allowed to access!!! and they've all been eaten and not one of the year 10's in the department will own up to the theft despite their being cookie crumbs all around the classroom floor, in fact they think that it is funny Sorry to rant but I now have to make some more

That is bad. Personally, if no-one owns up and you sure it is some of that group (bound to be more than one), then give the lot detention.

What they did boils down to theft (not so much the cost value, but the value of your time and effort to make the things) and should not go unpunished. If you let them get away with "theft" and they start doing that in shops/bakers, they could soon find themselves in court...

Am not impressed by many kids, these days - in particular their complete disrespect for discipline/rules/laws/"other people's property"...

Thanks for replies, the head gave the whole class an hours detention ~but me thinks that making a batch with added chilli powder is evil ( but gooooooooooodddddd)!!! Roll on the end of term
