Seriously Considering BLT Purchase

As stated, I am seriously considering purchasing 200 points at the BLT.

Does anyone know the current incentives, which I understand are better if you have a referral from a current DVC member. If this is the case is there any Cdn Member willing to be my referral?

Also, what was the procedure for purchasing directly from Disney? I understand you need 10% down, etc. etc. What is the closing procedure and at what cost?

I have been back and forth on this for a couple of years. We go to Disney at once a year and each trip costs me at least $4,000.00 even with codes and discounts so seems to make sence to me. Do you agree?

My first contract was bought private resale International GMAC.
Long process but allowed me to get my feet wet before I jumped in.
Since then I've added on 3 times direct through disney --three seperate contracts all small points (under 50 points)
All four of my contracts are Aug use year and are considered like this
Part one main contract A
contract a1
contract a2
contract a3
I am able to sell any of the contracts seperate which is why I feel it's wise to buy smaller contract than big ones --if I wanted or needed 200 points I'd buy that 200 divided into a couple --160point--40point.(small point contract sell much easier and for more money resale.)
now if you want to wait a bit I'm sure some BLT will come out on the market for resale soon.

Hi Bev, I have a lot of the same questions as you. We are traveling to WDW in August and I am considering joining while there but I would like to know a bit more about it before we get there. I didn't even know it was 10% down! I too would like to know about closing procedure, cost and incentives. I am so glad you asked this question.

Current incentives are good - they are going to change on June 15th. We own at BLT and live in Mississauga - let me know if you have any questions about the incentives

We were just there in June and did a small add-on - we had our stay at SSR on developer points and loved it! Can't wait to stay at BLT!

I just bought on Thursday and took the Cruise incentive. I made sure that my 10 day rescission period would go beyond June 10 when they may be announcing some further incentives in a webcast. Still waiting for my paperwork though.
