Hi,

All of you guys have been so helpful. All your tips made our Disney Cruise awesome. Now, I need help in an unusual area.

We watched a show awhile back about Disney at Christmas so my mom said "Let's go!" So we're going! In the course of my research, I found out that Disney has 20 year-round, full-time employees that handle decorating for Christmas. And they also hire seasonal employees to assist during that time. Well, my mom wants to be one of those people! You should see our house at Chrsitmastime. She does such an elegant, festive display. That would be her dream job.

So, how does she go about getting it?

She would need to go to casting near DTD. Does she live in FL? They usually aren't interested in anyone who doesn't live here when they apply.

It's probably a dream that's more fun in theory than in reality. Let your mom know that she probably won't make a single decision as to how to decorate anything- it will undoubtedly be more like "unload that box" or "climb up that ladder and staple these things up there!"

Not to say anything bad about Disney, or anything like that, but I've seen many places decorate for holidays. Everything's planned out ahead of time, half pre-assembled at best. If you want to compare it to something, it will probably be like putting up outdoor Christmas lights. If she likes that sort of thing, she'll probably like decorating for Disney at Christmas.

The easiest route is probably contacting Human Resources. They should be able to tell you more about the positions, when they open, minimum requirements, etc. It does sound like fun - tell your Mom good luck! :sunny:
