sequoia lodge swimming pool

Hi,

We go 2 - 6 jan. I am taking my 2 boys and am going to let them go swimming in the evenings if i think its ok for them to do so.

Before i say yes is the pool attached to the hotel?. Is it heated as that time of year it's going to be cold outside. As i won't be swimming myself is there a spectators area?.

Hi, the pool isn't actually inside the hotel- it's in one of the lodges but it's only a minute or so walk from the main building. I have only used the pool once before and we didn't find it cold but it was September and quite warm. I have read from others however that it can be quite chilly.
The spectators area is a little strange, you can stand and watch them no problem but there is nowhere to sit and there are some loungers but you have to walk through a water bath to get to them. I assume they're only supposed to be used by swimmers. Hope that helps you. X

I have always found a seat when I have gone in to watch my sister and kids, having said that there was only a couple of seats
