Here are some photos of the newly refurbished rooms in the SL that have been circulating around the web today.

I think it is a great improvement, a lot lighter that the old darker colour scheme.

Hi Jonjo, would you know which rooms are being refurbished first? We are staying there next month for my 40th birthday, would be nice to stay in one, we are booked in a standard lodge,

Debs x :)

When I first heard about the refurb plans I was a bit apprehensive, but these look great!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing Jonjo :goodvibes

The rooms look so great I want to go back right now! Love the new furniture too. Job well done I reckon and still in keeping with the style of the hotel, if anything, it looks more suited than the old scheme.

Thanks for sharing! I like these a lot, I liked SL before too, but so much brighter! :goodvibes Like the art work too!

This is where it gets a bit confusing, I'll try to explain.

The rooms in the lodges are being refurbished at the moment. Once they are finished they will become the "Montana Rooms". The Montana Rooms are normaly the ones in the in the main building but they are having a swap around and these will become the standard rooms.

So if your going next month and you have booked a standard room in one of the lodges your room will be in the main hotel.

Once the main hotel building has been refurbished and all 1011 room redecorated the names will swap back and the Montana Rooms will once again be in the main building.

If I were you I would ask for an upgrade upon arrival - you never know your luck you might end up with a lake view room during the refurbishment works.

I wanted to ask for an upgrade when I arrived there in December but my DW did not want a lake view room, she wanted to see trees from our bedroom window and that is what we got. Lots and lots of snow covered trees.

I hope that make some sense.

Thanks Jonjo, I might wear a big "40" badge and nicely ask, maybe with it being a quiet time of year i may get an upgrade, I have been many times and never asked or been given one so fingers crossed! xxxxxx ;)

nice and lovely :thumbsup2 after seeing some pics I begin to wonder if I chose the right hotel
