Hi all,

Well it's been a while but I've decided to take the plunge again and book to go this new years eve :goodvibes

What I was wondering if anyone has any information on booking a room at SL, this is where we stayed on our last visit and we LOVED it! My daughter was under 3 last time though so we could all stay in 1 room (she'll be 4 by the time we go in December)

I've just looked at prices and it's saying we have to book 2 rooms (which I know we can have adjoining) but as my daughter ALWAYS ends up in bed with us when we go anywhere I'd love to not have to have an extra room (and paying a good few hundred £'s more!)

Is it worth phoning them directly to see if she can just stay in bed with us? We've never had a problem with UK hotels letting us do this but not sure if Disney would allow it?

Will still defo book SL but it would be great to hear if anyone has been in a similar situation...Thanks in advance :flower3:

Hi the French are very strict about room occupancy they will not let you do that sorry.
There are family rooms in the Santa Fe the NPB and of course the DLH :)
Could be worth pricing them as 2 rooms can be costly.
We also love the SL but 5 of us going now we are staying off site as it's a lot cheaper we have annual pass's now.
Hope you get a booking soon.

Unfortunately there's no point phoning - the maximum occupancy is for 4 plus an infant so you're exceeding this now your DD's older.

I feel your frustration as we're a family of 5 - we used to stay at the Explorers which caters much better for families with more than 2 children until our DDs were older and then we were glad of two rooms, especially two bathrooms! :rotfl2:

Thanks to you both,

I did very much think that this would be the case : (

I've looked into NPB but it's saying that there's no rooms available and Disney hotel is double what 2 rooms at SL would be (over £3000 :rolleyes2)

Will have a look at SF, didn't realise they catered to families of 5. We've stayed of site every time we've been in the past, apart from our last stay, but we loved it so much and the joy of not having to get the shuttles to and from was worth spending the bit extra haha!

Am I right in thinking that SL has suites that can sleep 5, as if this is the case it might work out a similar price as 2 rooms but would inc a VIP pass?

Thanks again xx

Suites only sleep 4 too.
Santa Fe family rooms sleep 6 but don't go in the special offers
Try ringing them
0844 200 90 90 put this number 1st if you have a bt land line it gives a cheap rate then 00 33 1 60 30 60 53.
Let us know how you get on

Thanks for that, will give them a call tomorrow when there's no little ears listening (it's my Christmas gift to the family)

Maybe they could offer a discount if both rooms are booked together (doubt it as it's over NYE, but if you don't ask...!)

Will update when I speak to them : ) Xx

This might not be relevant now but the family rooms have always worked out being more expensive than booking two rooms together. It makes no sense but not much does with Disney pricing! Would DCR be an option?

Sorry but what is DCR?

Thanks for the reply, I'm open to all options Xx

Davy Crockett ranch, you have to drive there though as no shuttle service

I feel your pain too. It almost always works out cheaper having two rooms instead of family rooms. Only once did we get a family room at DLH cheaper than two rooms at HNY. This was only because the discount rooms for HNY had sold out for our dates and we got a good discount on DLH.

Our youngest was the same, ended up in our bed, but in the end the extra space and two bathrooms worked out great. I think explorers looks like a great option if you end up off site. Good luck :)

Thanks for all your replies...Just a quick update.

I took the plunge yesterday and booked SL (at a price that made my eyes water, but I'm a firm believer of living for the moment as we never know what's around the corner...At least tat's what I'm telling myself now haha!)

Also booked Eurostar to Paris (didn't go direct to Disney as the price was double for some reason?)

So our plan is to travel to London on the 29th where we'll stay in a Premier Inn, going to enjoy a full day of museums here and make the most of it. Getting an early eurostar train in the morning and arrive in Paris at 10.17am (I was hoping to take a trip around the Louvre but it's closed on this day) Undecided yet whether to 'do' a little of Paris or go straight to Disney.

The last time we went my daughter was only 18 months or so, so this time we're going to have some serious girl time...Going to treat her to a make over and lunch at Auberge pixiedust: (although this will be either day 1 or on the 1st Jan as I've just seen the NYE prices :crazy2:) while my husband has some crazy time on the rides (which he hates haha) with our 2 sons!

To say I'm excited is an understatement...I've thought of little else since I booked :cheer2:

Xx
