Sequester impact on Yosemite

I've seen they are thinking of opening Tioga Road up to a month or more later than usual to save money for ploughing, etc. IIRC the normal time is Memorial Day, so this would push it back to the end of June when we are going. This will not be a disaster, but I had planned on driving up 395 and across the park, as well as hiking in the Tuolomne meadows area.

I've read that there's been a dry winter with not as much snow, so I'm hopeful everything will be open by the 26th! Anyone with insight as to how much snow the Sierras have gotten? The webcams seem to show that there's not a lot up there.

Fingers crossed. I've been planning this trip for at least 2 years.

Hold the phone. I just found this and it seems that they may actually open Tioga road in early May. Maybe I should learn to use the internet better!
